Guest shebavon Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 The place looks great, and has so many nice things about it. Sauna, karaoke lounge, bar. And now a really nice hotel. It looks like it has all the makings of being a lynch pin for Gay Pattaya. A fun place for Thai's and Farang to hang out and mingle. I wish the owners great success. Quote
Guest Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I thought the Ganymede already had rooms. What's changing? All that's needed now is a couple of good gogo bars, then Jomtien might just be an attractive place for me to stay. Quote

I looked into Ganymede for an upcoming trip. I like a lot of their setup and the many things under one roof. But I tried staying in Jomtien once and really felt too far away from the fun of Sunee and BT. The lack of gogo bars in Jomtien is a big negative for me. Is there a legal / zoning issue with having a gogo in Jomtien? I haven't explored much of it, but I don't recall seeing girl gogo bars either. Quote

You most likely know that ''legal'' does not say very much here. But ''zoning'' to a certain degree- the owners of JT complek=where all those bars are do NOT allow gogo in their building-overabundant clear stated in any lease contract. There seems to be (but have not been there not interested in it at all) some limited lady gogo further on in JT. But why bther so much on that? plenty of other opportunities without that overloud music, not even attempt to dance, high pressure mamasans, etc. to endure. Quote

So it is a restriction in the lease for Jomtien Complex then. That would explain it. I enjoy the gogo bars in Thailand. Not something you can experience anywhere else. I am sure it might be different for someone spending longer periods of time in Thailand. During my one week visiits, I go for the clubs and gogo bars most nights. Occasional host bar to start off the evening and visit some of my favorite boys. JT complex just seems too quiet for me. Granted, it may be good for others. Everyone looks for something for their own tastes. Thanks for the information. Quote
Guest joseph44 Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Spent last weekend at Ganymede. The changes over the last 2 years are really amazing and here's a brief description on what's going on: There are 3 major buildings: - the "bar" building with the superior-rooms above it - the "coffee-shop" building with elevator and the super-deluxe rooms + karaoke on the ground floor - the "sauna" building with more superior rooms - in between the several buildings there are jacuzzi's and an (20x8 meter) outdoor-pool is available too - the sauna has been renovated recently and is more spacious - at the moment, another building is under renovation and by the looks of it, the accommodation will be more up-class (suites) Anyway, I guess that there are enough rooms to choose from and enough entertainment (day-time and night-time) to spend a nice time there.
