Guest luvthai Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Wondering what affect the flooding will on the currency exchange rates especially since the cleanup and damage control will gone on into the New Year. Quote
TotallyOz Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I'll be curious as well. But, the USA economy sucks so I don't expect too much of a change. Quote
Guest Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 The impact of the flooding on the Thai economy will be too short term to have any significant effect on exchange rates. The effect of a couple of decades of irresponsible borrowing in the USA, the UK and the PIGS is a much more lasting problem. Quote
pong Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 as z909-and i think even more in the other direction as tipically those askers tend to think: more demand for THB, due to need for extensive repairs=means higher prices in US$ to pay for it. Same-same happened in Japan after Tepco-reactor failure. OR: go to fora like thaivisa for the eternal wining and better knowers (just closed it-hence why) Quote
