pong Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Hello all from Chiang Mai: does anyone have some experience with this place-apparently belonging to a chain also in Phuket and Singapore? Seem to recall having read something about it somewhere, but unable to refind that. Seems a little distant from inner city. Is said to be a gay guesthse, with pool, gym, etc-but that does not say very much here in CMai. Quote
Bob Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I've never been on their grounds but a couple of falang who stayed there told me they liked it. But I agree with you about the location (not at all located for walking to anywhere or near anything of that much interest) although those with their own transportation probably wouldn't mind that at all. KhorTose Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I agree with Bob's statements and would add that even with your own transportation expert to spend some time getting to anywhere else in CM at the moment. Presently, we have twice the traffic we normally get do to people from the South escaping the floods and people coming in for Loy Katong. Quote
Guest chompi27 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I dont know that place but I stayed in Green Palace Hotel which is reasonably priced and is next door to the house of boys and other gay attractions. Highly recommended. Quote
ChristianPFC Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I was there in August (in the sauna). I went by tuk-tuk and after sauna walked back to the night market (about 30 minutes for a fast walker). I recently saw a picutre (I think on the gaychiangmai website) of the terrace on which I was standing in August half a meter deep under water. So you might want to call if the sauna is open or still flooded or closed for drying and cleaning. It's located in the south east of the city, with a terrace to the river, you can find adverts in gay mags. Quote

No problem at all with flooding there or anywhere near Chiangmai. The flooding we had only lasted a few days and that occurred well over a month ago. Quote

Guest Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Just to assist anyone who's using the search facility to research a Chiang Mai trip in a few months time, I'll add a few keywords...... Chiang Mai Hotel, Guesthouse Quote
ChristianPFC Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 The sauna was flooded in August, but I just read on gayinchiangmai that they cleaned it up after the water went away. Quote
