Just thought it would be interesting to see where all of the participants in Gay Thailand forum live.

I guess many will live elsewhere, due to the requirement to earn an income. That's the only thing preventing me from spending several months a year in SE Asia.

Eventually, that hurdle should be overcome.

Exactly. I would like to spend much more time in Thailand, maybe even move there for at least a couple of years. Finding a way to financially achieve is daunting.

I'm concentrating on maximising the difference between income & expenditure, so the difference may be carefully invested. My income is nothing special, but I live quite happily on about 33% of it. In a few years time, this should allow me to spend more time in SE Asia.

Some other members seem to work in Asia or run businesses which can be operated from any country in the world. That's a much quicker way of getting to live in Thailand, for those who have the initiative & know how to do this.

Alas I live in Australia but would dearly love to live in Thailand for a spell, I do get there regularly though.

I have been living and working in Bangkok for a number of years now. Happy to meet with any forum members or visitors here.

As Michael said, welcome to the site. And, if any of us can be of assistance just give a shout.

I'm surprised we seem to be quite so Pattaya-centric. I'd rather assumed we had a broader based membership/readership in Thailand.

As a fellow Bangkok resident, I'd like to add my welcome to jeffh12.
