no. I was busy counting my blessings that I'm not UK pensioner living abroad in country where that  rule applies.

I agree that it's unfair and sometimes pensioner moves to other country  he rather would not live  but at least rule , while unfair is clear and known

One should also remember that the UK pension is one of the lowest, if not the lowest, of all countries in Europe.
