Guest voldemar Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 I, of course, realize that for many people it is quite exotic but nevertheless it is a unique restaurant in Pattaya: it combines Russian, Uzbek and Georgian food. I tried their lamb shashlyk and it was very good. It is not cheap by Pattaya standards ( I paid for a modest meal without wine 700 baht) but for many quite conveniently located (in the same soi as Nab near Alkazar). Telephone:08 7583 5332 (Thai-English), 038 361093 (Thai). Enjoy! Quote
TotallyOz Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Thanks for the review. As there are so many more Russian's and those from that area that are arriving in Pattaya, I am not surprised that the number of these restaurants keep increasing. Many years ago, I sponsored a family of Russian Jews to come to America. This was 20 years ago. They thanked me over and over by cooking some of the most amazing dishes I have ever tasted. It was so amazing and it was the type of food I have never tasted. Quote

Guest voldemar Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 The truth is that more than 50 percent of visitors currently coming to Pattaya (including Thai visitors) are from post Soviet space... I know that some expats hate it but it is not going change any time soon as long as oil has any value... Russians created their own infrastructure in Pattaya starting from real estate and travel agencies and ending up with hotels, restaurants, spas, shops etc. Why not to use some of it? In the hotel I am currently staying there are three Russian channels two of which are completely devoted to Pattaya...While some Russians do not behave properly vast majority are not monsters and just coming for vacations or staying as expats (compare e.g. with small but vocal group of anti-semites and degenerates with inferiority complex on Baht-stop).
