Shaun01 Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Hey, been reading the forum for a while now, so much that I feel like I've already been to Thailand. However - I haven't. I am planning my first trip (thinking late march-April). I'm really struggling with picking hotels, even after reading and researching - the reason being I'm kinda picky with hotels (I travel ALOT for work) I need hotels that are at least Marriot / Hilton level, but also ones that won't be a problem to bring boys back to. Also, obviously the closest to the action. I don't mind paying $150-$250 a night... So... any recommendations for Bangkok / Pattaya that fit the description? Thanks! jamiebee 1 Quote
ichigo Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Le Meridien Bangkok and Hilton Pattaya. Done jamiebee, Raposa, Lucky and 1 other 4 Quote

Keithambrose Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Le Meridien, definitely. Right price range, can bring back boys as you like. floridarob 1 Quote
gayinpattaya Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Hilton is far from a lot of the action in Pattaya. Jomtien Complex is the hub now, and that's maybe 4km away. Might not seem like a lot, but in Pattaya traffic that can take a long time! Jomtien doesn't have any chain hotels, but as many people here will agree, The Agate Hotel is fantastic, and it puts you literally a few meters from the action. It depends what you're looking for really. The Hilton will give you easy access to Boyz Town, but not a lot going on there anymore. Quote

Inside bars is a different story. If one chooses to drag their ass through "NEW-BUMBAI" and then "DIRTY-KABUL" they can get to Nice Boys *can't recall the new name*. Fantastic fun to be had. My point was if you want to be in a lively area, with a lot of people, partying and activity, Boyztown and Sunee Plaza just don't cut it right now. Maybe things will flip back around in the future. vinapu 1 Quote

Nie tylko wyślesz bieliznę do pokoju, ale także kilka modelek – wystarczy udekorować drogę do pokoju kwotą 10 000 bahtów😘 Quote

I say stay in Jomtien if you're a top and Near Botztown if you're a bottom, lol vinapu and jamiebee 2 Quote

I appreciate Hotel Amara for its hospitality, pool, delicious breakfasts, and ability to handle crisis situations. The receptionists are wonderful; they even provided me with an extra room when the number of my masseuses got out of hand... and in the end, the receptionist turned out to be a travel companion as well... khaolakguy and 10tazione 1 1 Quote
fedssocr Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Bangkok is full of very nice hotels that belong to the western chains and independents or Asian chains that are on par with those kinds of hotels. They've got to all compete with each other. So don't be afraid to branch out beyond Marriott and Hilton unless collecting points and nights are important to you. As for closest to the action, I think everybody has covered the options pretty well. But if you decide to branch out farther (like Sukhumvit or even the cluster of options at Ratchadamri there are many very nice hotels at reasonable prices I haven't been to Pattaya in a while, but there the standard wasn't quite as high last time I was. colom-bien Posted December 7 Posted December 7 I'd highly recommend Grande Centre Point Surawong Bangkok, quite close to Silom 6. Fifteen minute walk. 4 minute tuk tuk ride. I'm going to try Le Meridien next time, just to try something new. Olddaddy 1 Quote
