Guest wowpow Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 From Elephantspike - Moderator: "OK, the latest SNAFU has been resolved. I had paid my domain renewal fee on time the other day for the coming year, and somehow that information didn't register with the server, so for a day or so the domain forwarded to one of those domain-available-for-purchase pages. I contacted the web-host and resolved the matter. We are good, domain-wise for another year now (Happy 1st birthday to sawatdee-gay-thailand.com!!) Thanks to those of you who contacted me to alert me to the problem and offer help, and my apologies for any inconvenience that this may have caused. TotallyOz Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 A series of unfortunate accidents for sure. Welcome back Sawatdee! May I suggest to anyone who owns names to put them on autorenew. This will save you much hassle and headache. Many names are lost this same way. Last year the name Aida.com died a similar death. It went to auction and to the highest bidder. It went for a large amount of money. The other option is to renew for longer periods of time. Most renewals now are around 10 USD per year. Renew for 5 years for only 50 USD and you don't have to think about it again for 5 years. Quote
