Guest fountainhall Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Next time in Pattaya I'm definitely going to have a meal and a drink or two there! Quote
Guest luvthai Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 The first guy (name X) is so cute. Good location on beach and also good rates. Quote

Guest Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 What amazes me is, if a Guest House can find handsome men, why can’t most of the Bars in Pattaya find them This is just a matter of opinion. I like the one on the left, but would also find at least 50% of Pattaya gogo dancers to be more attractive than the other two. Also, the gogo dancers rate very highly for being available, whereas people employed in other sectors tend not to be. This is important. There are any number of cute hotel staff, bank employees, students etc in various corners of the world. Quote
KhorTose Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Thanks Moses. This place would work for me. Not as nice as the Rabbit Resort, but a far better location, not to mention price. Cute boys, but I'm totally married. Quote
Moses Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 Not as nice as the Rabbit Resort, but a far better location, not to mention price. Oh, don't tell me what you expect the same "luxury level" from small hotel with prices 500-600 baht and from resort with prices 2600-6500 baht per night Quote
mahjongguy Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 The DD Inn is primarily known for providing short time rooms. Their staff are hosts. Quote

Guest Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Did you mean "was known before" with prev. owner? It's important to know about these things one way or the other. Travelling around, I find one of the cute "staff" is sometimes the partner of the Farang business owner, so an approach would be unwelcome. Quote
mahjongguy Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Did you mean "was known before" with prev. owner? I'm just repeating what I was told (about a month ago) by the staff of a nearby host bar. At that time, it matched what I had always observed about the place. Quote
TotallyOz Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Their staff are hosts. My goodness. I am shocked and appalled. You mean I could get room "service" just by calling the front desk? I love it! Why doesn't the Marriott do this? Maybe it is a new trend? Quote
Guest voldemar Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Why doesn't the Marriott do this? Maybe it is a new trend? Michael, Allow me to share a bit of paranoya. It is not a big secret that certain type of US government officials choose Marriott Pattaya as their operational center. While it never bothered me, I just noticed that each time I stayed over there, upon return to US I was subject of quite serious interrogation by custom inspectors regarding my stay in Thailand and that was one of the reasons I changed hotel... Since then interrogations stopped... Did you notice similar correlation in your case? Quote

Since then interrogations stopped... Did you notice similar correlation in your case? To be honest with you, it never occurred to me. However, I did have a laptop taken on one trip and that was right after a long stay there. It was returned weeks later with no apology. I have always been thoroughly searched when I enter USA but it has always been from Thailand and never from Brazil and my searches ceased when I didn't stay at that hotel any longer. I think you may be on to something. My last few trips were after renting a condo and the searches were quick and not the 3 hour ones I have experienced. Quote
Guest Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 I would always feel a little uncomfortable if using the DD room service on the first night, then walking a succession of guests past the same guy for the rest of the stay. Quote
Guest TOQ Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 If you worked it right, it could be a party in the making Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 The twink on the left is cute the others I wouldn't give a second glance. Quote
Guest anonone Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 I can't tell you how many times I have walked by this place going to/from Dongtan Beach. I never noticed or realized it was a gay bar, or they had rooms for rent. I think I need to keep my eyes a bit more open...who knows what else I have been missing. And I agree that the guy on the left is what would encourage me to drop by. Quote
ChristianPFC Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Me too, I think the one on the left is by far the cutest. This is amazing, given the fact that there are continuous arguement of lady-lovers and manly-boy-lovers elsewhere on these forums. How comes we all agree on this one boy? Quote
Rogie Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 I can't tell you how many times I have walked by this place going to/from Dongtan Beach. I never noticed or realized it was a gay bar Depends how 'gay bar' is defined I guess. This is one of the more discreet places. My idea of the opposite of that would be those bars that post those pesky 'encouragers' who (if you are to their liking) can (at least try to) bodily frog-march you into the bar. All good fun, but sometimes it can be a bit tiresome if you've had to dodge one after the other. Right opposite the DD Inn is the back entrance to the Bamboo Bar which is what I would call a genuine gay bar. How comes we all agree on this one boy? It would seem that way. Just to be awkward I shall dissent from the general impression. I'd say the chap on the left was the cutest, but so what? Having to decide on the basis of a single posed photo is unrealistic. In real life we could interact with each of the three young men in turn in order to make a 'considered' preference. My betting would be the guy on the right would steal my heart (well, not really, my wallet maybe). He's a bit older but he looks to me to have a nice personality (how can I tell? fair point - just my impression, which goes to show in the final analysis this is just a bit of harmless fun!) Quote
Guest TOQ Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 I guess I will be the 5th wheel on this one. The far right suits me just fine john Quote
