off fee is supposed to be 500 and short time is 2000.

(Toy Boys) When I last went, there was an item "short time" in the menu 1500. I don't pay 1500 for short time in Pattaya (nor anywhere else), so I asked if boys can go for 1000. Mamasan said it depends on the boy, but the one I was after was adamant on 1500. Sorry, cannot. That has happened before, that a boy from Toy Boys wanted 1500. Add their practice of having handsome boys outside in jeans to lure customers in, but not going on stage in underwear, Toy Boys has been on my black list for over 5 years (with one lapse about 2022 to see if they are operating in a way that I approve of, to be disappointed).

Good luck with Bangkok

Most quotes were around 2k to 4k mark 😲

I was thinking about getting on the "game" myself with those prices 😀

Yes, but you are one of the guys who screws boys down  to unrealistic  levels, and seems to enjoy it.

Do you know what Thai men pay? Locals rate?
You would be shocked how much you are getting ripped off lol

I'm not surprised locals would pay much lesser, but the prices for us would still be much cheaper than what we will have to pay at home. So basically we have a nice little holiday and some companionship at the same time and I wouldn't consider that as being ripped off imo...

I have no problem paying more than the locals because I have a lot more money than them.

I agree fully.  I am paying 50% of what I paid back in Europe and my full time salary to my reduced pension only dropped 25% - so I am still financially ahead.

So I don't care what the locals pay

I instead do care but for a different reason.

Here in Pattaya - many of the abundant local guys here are on the HORNET app and only solicit to Thai-for-Thai clients where the rates are substantially lower.

So, when the local guys bitch and complain that they are not making enough money - I tell them to EXPAND their HORNET marketing to consider non-Thais as customers - as they can earn substantially more.  One western customer can potentially help them to earn what 1 Thai customer pays them.  Once they get over their fear of US farangs - they often change their marketing mix to be 25% non-Thai and 75% Thai and they are financially more happier.  They have also told me that the Thai customers can be MORE demanding than us non-Thai customers - hence easier money for them.

Often their reluctance to solicit to us are:

  • they can't speak English and don't know what to write in English in their HORNET profiles to attract us non-Thais,
  • they have to get used to our smells.  I constantly hear from them that us non-Thais smell different than Thais.  I often wonder what it is that makes us smell different??
  • they are not used to our ways of being and are not sure or feel safe in pre-knowing how to act with us.

How did I learn all of this?

I utilize the services of 2 local Thai guys to procure for me new guys for 4 hands massages.  They BOTH fish for the guys that they bring to my place from HORNET and often I am the FIRST farang (Western) customer for many of these new guys.  During the pre and post massage time, I love to interview them about how it went and if as a result of their first meeting with a farang if they would do it again.  I would say that it is a 50/50 ratio for YES - not as high as I expected - but the Thai-on-Thai money boy market is very different than the non-Thai market and it is after all their comfort zone - and who wants to venture out of their comfort zone ?

Lets not forget, locals or those who stays long term in thailand, have another benefit. They have time to wait playing the long game, and they can also be a more stable income provider than us tourists.

A regular local customer who take a boy weekly for 1k baht, vs a tourist who take the boy once a year at 2k. Guess who contribute more to the boy?

Boys also have a choice of not going for the locals or long term stayers who pay less and only stick with tourists for business. Usually these boys will have another day jobs.

"they have to get used to our smells."

I don't think they are referring to stinky armpits.

It's more likely to be the smell of our skin due to our different diets. So to me,some guys in Asia smell of fish sauce and to them, some farang smell of dairy products like milk.

As for the Asian gene, I think that is true because even in the heat of summer there is no BO smell on crowded trains and buses, unlike say, the metro in Paris which positively stinks.

To me, it's not the cost I worry about; it's whether I think I'm getting value for money.

So I don't care what the locals pay - compared to the price the guys in Australia and Europe charge, I'm getting great value for money, whilst associating with nice, honest and friendly guys.

And lifting their standard of living at the same time!  😂

Really?

I know of a Thai guy, in Bangkok. A couple of boys told me about him. He's worth a fortune and has a massive sprawling villa in East Pattaya.
When he comes to Pattaya, he gets about 10 boys in his villa for the night and essentially have a feast, piss up and orgy.

Each boy gets 500 baht.
And the line up hoping to be invited.

I'm sorry, but I don't get the point you are making.

I don't care what that rich Thai guy does.

Being familiar with Asian culture, it comes as no surprise that he only pays 500 baht.

His money, his life, his culture.

That's what I understood. There's much less dairy in the average Asian diet because so many adult Asians are lactose-intolerant.

My dairy intake is relatively low by Western standards, which maybe explains why many years ago I was virtually kidnapped by one of the locals in House of Male (Chiang Mai) because he "liked my smell". A long story, which I have no intention of telling here...

I was making this point:-
You said,

That's a very first world comment. I may be wrong, but I am going to guess there are many people in Thailand with a lot more money than you.

It's a first world comment because I have lived my entire life in the first world, so no surprise there. I was simply stating the bleeding obvious. I was not starting a pissing contest.

And there are many people in my own street (!), let alone all of Thailand, with a lot more money than me.

I would be interested in which Asian country's culture you are familiar with? It's no Thailand I'm guessing?
I'm also guessing the street you live on isn't in Asia. It's in some shit country?

Your posts are highly informative and appreciated @bkkmfj2648 ! This kind of contextual knowledge is useful.

One of the few areas I agree with you.... I can't believe the money some people are paying in Thailand, I guess if you pay more, the boy will love you more??

Because better looks or higher price doesn't equate to better sex, in my experience anyways, usually the opposite 🤷‍♂️

There are hung Thai guys, handsome, who will fuck you for 300-500 baht. No problem for them.
But these are guys that are very hard to find for the average tourist or non-thai speaker.
For expats who learn the language, it's stupid easy!

I was only making a point between expats and tourists, and how tourist get ripped off.

Thailand GDP per capita in 2023 is around USD 7K. In comparison, Singapore GDP per capita is USD 84K.  Based on the figures, an average Singaporean definitely will earn more and have a higher disposable income than a Thai. Therefore it would be suicidal for a MB to charge a Thai client the same price as he would to a Singaporean or anyone coming from a 1st world country. So in that sense I guess A447 is right that we are richer..

Of cos if we compare what we pay to what Thai pay, there will be a disparity. But it's just something we have to live with since the target market is different...

Ok lets, go. Using USD
Average salary in the UK $37,73
UNITED STATES: $58,389

A boy I know in Bangkok made 2 million baht a year selling his ass in Bangkok. He lives in America now. His hole got him his goal. He's at college in NYC.
A nice $58k USD for him. A few years of that, in a country with a lower cost of living he built up quite a nest egg.

I simply can't understand why you people think these boys are "POOR". They are not. Maybe asset poor. But they are cash rich!
