One of the benefits of staying at a higher end hotel, you can ask for housekeeping several times a day usually 24 hrs.

Yes I could have easily asked for housekeeping but I didn't want to cum again same day. Hehe.

At 7.30pm I met forum members along Silom Road. We took a taxi to Madrid's Pizza for dinner. The pizza crust was thin and crispy. We ordered 3 pizzas and some dishes. We also had wine. Delicious food and wonderful company. Would have stayed longer but we had to rush back to Patpong as one forum member had a guy waiting for him in bar. Hehehe.

Can’t recommend Madrid more highly. Pizza, appetizers and service worth the short diversion from Silom. 🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴

Many thanks to our host, Jenny!

End of 9-day stay in Airbnb condo. Enjoyable experience. Clean and well kept place. Excellent location in soi 3 near to local neighbourhood and near to Sauna Mania. Hehe. Gym and laundry facilities. Nice pool. Only disappointment was the lack of stove for cooking.

I checked out just before 11 and took a taxi to Le Meridien. Yes, I know it's not far from soi 3 but it was hot and I had luggage to carry.

There's a new addition to Le Meridien - an ATM at lift lobby! Convenient for hotel guests who need cash to make cash payment urgently! Hehe. I do however think the ATM could be located somewhere else in hotel lobby. Its bright green colours (Kasikorn Bank) doesn't match the classy aesthetics of the lift lobby. I happened to see the General Manager and spoke to him to give my feedback. He said thanks for my feedback and explained that was the best place to put ATM because of wiring and power issues.

I think the GM takes a real interest  in the hotel. He's always around,  and happy to have a chat. It may help that I'm a regular  customer!

Yes, this model is hot. He was walking around and getting lots of requests for photos. I believe this photo is from the guest's social media account.

I also took a photo with the model! Hehehe.

After Sauna Mania, I met my regular guy at Foodland for dinner.

"Why you no go my bar see me?"

"But I see you every day at Foodland. We eat dinner together."

"Come see me in my bar tonight."

Tonight I was alone because there wasn't any forum member around whom I can hang out with. I still hadn't decided which bar to go.

"If you want to go other bar, it's ok."

I explained that even if I go to his bar, I would not off him directly. I didn't want to deprive him of opportunities of being offed by customers. Last week I already met him long-time.

But the real reason I didn't want to go to his bar is I hated the feeling of jealously when I saw him with customers. To his credit, he had sensed it. He knew what to say instead to me.

"Come my bar see my friend. Help my friend. Buy drink for my friend."

OK. Tonight I will go to Freshboys.

I completely understand this - especially if you see the guy that you have invested a lot of time and emotion (and 🤑) sitting and/or being offed by someone you know - it is very uncomfortable.  These are the dangers of getting emotionally intertwined with the local MBs.  When I was a tourist, it was easier, because there was a near "safety" expiration end date, when I would be on the airplane back to my home country - and consequently, my eyes would not be exposed to any of this based on the old adage:

This is the disadvantage of living here - as there is no escape like when we were a tourist.

You may want to try to look at it from the boy’s perspective. He might think that if you care for him, you would show up in his bar frequently, offing and/or buying him drinks, and by doing that, show others how popular he is, increasing his values and status in the bar. Several boys, once given a choice by me, 100B tip or one more drink (from which they get 50B), invariably go for one more drink to increase the total number of drinks they secure for the bar. This is not just about money.

The boy might even expect you to also buy drinks for his less fortunate friends, raising his status among those too.

Spot on @Min   It is all about raising their status in a very nice way that is great for the bar, his colleagues, and you - as in the Thai culture, everyone will remember you as Mr. Jai dii.

In other words, giving him “face” in the bar may mean more to him than having dinner together every day. If you are not sure, have a heart-to-heart with him and see what he thinks, which would probably help you better balance between personal interactions and public display of support

I thing you’re right, Min. @jason1975 you remember we discussed the social dynamics within the bar and why I chose to buy garlands for the boy at Moonlight? Min has added some further good points to consider.

. We were also joined by number 41. The most recent trip reports in the forum on Dreamboys was about number 41 being the oldest. Well, this number 41 is not! He is 22. Vietnamese. Friend of my guy. I am glad the previous number 21 has retired!

you mean 41 not 21 ? right ?

Had unforgettable Saturday. Started at 5pm with going Crowne Plaza Hotel for Crete Party. Waited for forum member then we went in together. Locals pay 4900 baht for event but foreigners pay 5500 baht. About 70 to 80 guests. Attired in all black as requested by organiser. 22 models, well known to locals. They appear in advertisements and shows in Thailand. Forum member and I don't know them but we can see their appeal. Some of the models were at entrance taking photos with guests. They were shirtless. I was enchanted by one model and asked him for a photo together and he obliged willingly. I felt like I was in heaven just standing next to him. The other models were also very handsome and hunky.

I just want to say thank you for such a detailed and enjoyable trip report. I'm learning so much and often feel like I'm right there with you. I will explore much of what you've written about on my next visit - the saunas, various bars, neighborhoods, etc. And the Crete Party was super interesting to experience through your eyes (and hands, haha). You are making me want to buy a ticket back to Thailand SOON!

I agree with reasoning of what all three of you expressed above,  but considering,  at end of day,  transactional  nature of our dealings with boys I sympathise with jason's reasoning more and I do the same.

We are not there to raise boy's status in the bar although it's nice if that happens as additional  result our our actions. We are there  to raise boys earnings in exchange for what they do (or don't do) for us.

Raising boys status by buying drinks to him and his 4 friends may be nice but is costs 2500 , out of that boys get 500 and bar 2000. That is not good use of our money , either hard earned or stolen from bank IMNSHO.

Buying 1000 garland out of which boy gets 700 is show off and helps to rise his status but again it's not good use  or our money IMEMNSHO.

I get value of status and jai dee in boys eyes but when comes to money  I prefer to be paternalistic and I rather see boy, not bar ,  getting cash from me . Then he can do whatever he wants to raise his status.

Of course other members may look at it differently so hope Raposa  is not taking my comment as uninvited criticism for him buying garland at Moonlight but it that was me I would perform patented vinapu tuck on boy stuffing  1000 baht note in his undies in a way that all could see denomination sticking out.

It reminds me scene from last trip in one of bars I visited with other member. He paid for our drinks and got 100 baht change , most  in coins. Shrewd move by the bar because of course he left them all that change - he did not want all that metal. As reward he got scolded by me and I'm not being apologetic here .

I told him such lavish tips should be awarded to boys who are parading in skimpy briefs for our enjoyment, not to waiter for just a bringing a drink or two for which 20 baht is sufficient IMNSHO  considering we tip 100 boy whose cock we can feel in our hand when they are parading after the show
