Trip Report (Nov/Dec 2024) - Trying out new experiences

Arrived in Bangkok in late afternoon. Little traffic on a Sunday. After checking in, went to G Bangkok for dinner with two forum members and their guys. Found out that the cat residing there is called Cloudy. After that, we spent the next 2 hours playing pool. My guy finished work and joined us and we had a good time over pool and beer. After that we split and went back. I had a great night. Woke up in morning for 2nd round then off to Foodland Patpong. Managed to make it in time for breakfast special. @vinapu would be proud of me!

Alas, there wasn't a stove or cooker. There was a microwave oven only!

Owh no. That's false advertisement. I wouldve at least asked if the owner has a different unit with stoves or if they have a portable stoves that you can have for your stay. Another alternative, buy a portable stoves for your guy to use and gave it to him after you left hehe.

Two weeks in Bangkok. Decided to stay in Airbnb instead of hotel. Found a unit in an old condo building in Soi 3. Stay for 1 week then 2nd week move to usual Le Meridien. I chose an Airbnb because I wanted a kitchen so that my guy can cook for me. The listing for the Airbnb said there was a kitchen and cooking was allowed. Alas, there wasn't a stove or cooker. There was a microwave oven only!

Staying in Soi 3 means I get to be near guys staying in rented rooms in the buildings around. My Grndr app shows many guys nearby at 1 metre! I can even see one guy enjoying a smoke in the next block facing my balcony!

After breakfast, I spent my time alternating between the pool (beautiful sunny weather) and in room watching tv but at 4.45pm I met two forum members outside Don Don Donki and we took BTS from Sala Daeng to Saphan Kwai. It was my first time going to the massage shops there. We were going to Phoenix Massage. When we got off the BTS, I saw this sign. I wonder if @vinapu has ever visited this place?

The walk from Saphan Kwai BTS to Phoenix Massage was a long walk! At least 30 minutes! We passed by many 7/11 stores and several other famous Massage shops - One Spa, BT House, KK Man. There was even a host bar, Hi Club, that we passed by.

After leaving Phoenix Massage, I pestered forum members to take taxi back to Silom. I dreaded the 30 minute walk to BTS. Expert forum member said let's continue walking a bit and he showed us 27M nearby. There was one more massage shop in the area but we couldn't find it. Didn't matter. I spotted a taxi. Driver, seeing tourists in otherwise very local neighbourhood, asked for 350 baht. I countered with 300 baht. He said OK and we hopped into a nice cool comfortable ride back to civilisation.

We wanted to eat dinner at newly opened pizza place on second floor of Quarter Silom but unfortunately it's closed on Monday! So off we went to Foodland Patpong. We went through Soi 6 and passed by the massage shops - the brand new upscale looking Chillax, 19-teen, Paradise and Natural, where my favourite Vietnamese massage guy happily welcomed me back. "Today we just finish massage. Tomorrow I come see you," I told him.

One forum member had an early flight to catch next morning so no off tonight. Ditto for me. I was satisfied with guy at Phoenix Massage and especially pleased with the sustained kissing which is not commonly found.

The trip to Sapha Kwai was definitely an interesting experience and I am thankful for guided tour. Definitely value for money. Would I go there again? Probably yes but not frequently. Too much walking. Walking there is ok but I dread walking back 30 minutes again to BTS to go back to Silom.

there are busses and motosais.

Keep in mind there are few shops  by the BTS station, 15M, KMan, Phetboys and Gbeat and one more in the same soi GBeat is , name escaped me, all within 100m from station.

Great reports but I run out of 'likes' today, waiting for more tomorrow, no pressure , no, no , no

Red t-shirt guy gave me packet of mouthwash to prepare for oral activities. Very thoughtful. I declined to shower.

Declined to shower after walking to Sala Daeng, skytrain ride and 30 minute walk 😱

Despite the lack of stove for cooking, the unit met my requirements. Clean, spacious and homely. Old 7-storey building but good location and there's even a gym, swimming pool and laundry machines on 5th floor.

I always message the owner first nowadays to ask questions

Never known you to ask questions, Olddaddy. 🙂

Once bitten....twice shy

It also gives me the "impression" of the owner and if he/she is helpful or they don't reply then I know they probably won't reply if I book and I have a problem
