TotallyOz Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I have eaten at this place several times and the food is always great. It is on the bottom level inside the food court area. If you are at the McDonalds, walk straight back. It is not a closed in shop but has tables in the open area. It is right across from the Fish and Chips place. Paragon has so many fantastic places to eat and the eye candy there is perhaps the best in Bangkok. I usually eat from the stands throughout the mall but sometimes I like a sit down place to chat with a friend. 9th Cafe is great for this. You can get great food at reasonable prices and still see all the beautiful guys walking around. I love their breaded chicken with veggies and potatoes. It is quite good and 2 full pieces of chicken breasts. The cost was like 230 baht I think. The more you dine in the Paragon, the more you find great places. 9th Cafe is one of them. Give it a try when you are in the area! Quote
Guest painai Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 The desserts at 9th Cafe are the best reason to eat there. They make lemon meringue pie that's just as good as my mother used to make (and that's hard to beat!). Quote

I am headed back to Paragon today and may have to try one. Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 What's the noise level like around there? One reason I don't like shopping/eating in Paragon is the constant assault on my ears. But if the lemon meringue pie is as good as painal suggests, I'll certainly give it a try. I have not found one yet in Bangkok with a decent meringue topping. For eye candy in that area, Starbucks situated in Discovery Centre just after the bridge linking it with Siam Centre is a great place to sit. Talking of youthful memories, does anyone know another dessert with a meringue topping named 'Queen of Puddings'? As a child that was always my favourite, but I have never seen it on any menu. Quote
TotallyOz Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 What's the noise level like around there? I didn't find the noise level bad but it is the same as most places on that level. I have been able to chat and have normal conversations there very easily. I have a Japanese lady friend I had lunch with the other day and she is very soft spoken and I heard every word. But, I am able to tune out other sounds pretty easy. Quote
