TotallyOz Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Right around the corner from Mango Tree are several great bars. They are very inexpensive compared to other bars in Bangkok or Pattaya. First Mango Tree is a fabulous restaurant. If you don't make reservations, you may not get in. Great Thai food. Solid is a fun bar with about 15 or so gogo boys. They have some great looking guys and it is very laid back and friendly. The drinks are 100 baht. I have known the mamasan since the old Boy dot com across from Future Boys. Super A is around the corner from that bar and you have to walk upstairs. The place is small but some fantastic guys there. They have a short time room for 200 baht. The drinks are 120 baht. There were about 25 guys when I was there this past weekend. Right under Super A is a massage place with about 15 plus cute guys. Massages are 500 baht with happy ending. I was not sure the age of the boys there so I did not get a massage. Night Boys is a great bar that is totally renovated and nice. It is quite well-done and has many boys. Nature Boys only had 3 guys working so I didn't go in. But, if you are looking for a fun night in Bangkok with some amazing great gay boys, go to Mango Tree for dinner and then venture on the same soi for all the bars above. A trip to Tawan on the same soi is also fun but not really my type of guy. Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Thanks for the update, Michael. You are right about it being best to book for Mango Tree, if only because it now caters for quite a lot of tour groups. That area is a lot less expensive and can often be more fun than Soi Twilight. I must say I am surprised about your comments on Super A, though. I popped in there on a Sunday about a month ago. I find the place dim and dismal, with furnishings that seem to have been there for decades. Perhaps some boys had been offed, but there were only 6 or 7 that night. One would occasionally go up on the 'stage' and just stand there admiring himself in the mirror - not even a soft-shoe shuffle! I invited a couple to sit with me and both were extremely 'pushy'. As was the mamasan, but then he was slim and very cute, so I stayed longer than I intended Solid always seems an up and down kind of place to me You can have a good time on one visit, and then there's almost no boys there the next. Drink prices are very reasonable, although I believe they were still Bt. 120 a few weeks ago. Seems they have come down for the low season - an admirable move. The mamasan is very friendly, but almost clueless when it comes to answering any questions. Although many of the boys have been around for quite a long time, they do occasionally bring in new ones. When a friend and I were there in March, they had the cutest little guy with a gorgeous smile, but he was horribly shy. A couple of weeks later and he was the life and soul of the party. He sure had learned fast! About a year ago, I was there on a very slack evening with no other customers. So I bought the 6 or 7 boys who were there drinks. We then proceeded to have a really fun party. Try it sometime!! One concern we had in that area was the newish Night Boys bar. When we looked inside, we reckoned there were some boys there who should not have been - and as we hesitated at the entrance, the tout seemed to confirm our suspicions. I accept that may be an unfair judgement given it was not exactly well lit, but what we saw persuaded us it was not a bar we wanted to be seen in. I hope I am wrong. I am always curious as to why gay establishments in that particular building never survive for long, whereas Golden Cock and Nature Boys have been staples in the area for seemingly decades. Quote
TotallyOz Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 Super A was dark and a bit dismal but fun. I call this soi the sleazy soi. I guess you know I like that a bit. In Super A, there were at least 4 boys that I thought were very sexy and would have taken home. That is 4 more than I saw in the bars on Soi Twilight last time I was there. So, I didn't really notice the dimness. However, I did notice that a bell rings when a customer is approaching and they all jump on stage. When the drink arrives, the boys sit down and seem to have zero interest in getting back on stage. Several boys approached us to say hi. I had one boy over for a drink at 100 baht and I was happy with this price. Quote
atri1666 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Since i arrived i visit Super A every evening and i like it very much. Never saw such a lot of sexy boys there. Had lots of fun there and some already visited me in my hotel. Also took a group to Babylon. Drinks and boydrinks only 100 baht and bottle whisky incl.all mixers 1500 baht. Today was the only quiet day there. At time i dont need to look for other bars. Quote
TotallyOz Posted May 11, 2011 Author Posted May 11, 2011 Was in Super A boys again last night and had fun. Met a cute boy. I ordered him a Heineken. He mamasan said Leo and I said no, Heineken. She brought over a Leo. I said no. She said already opened. I said not my problem. They brought him a Heineken. He sat with me for a bit and I had fun chatting him up. I started to look at the bin and the ladyboy mamasan took it away before I could count it up. I knew it was 100 baht each so I gave a 1k note. She returned with 100 baht less than the bill. I asked and she said, "Oh, sorry" and went to get the other 100 baht. So, she did try to rip me off and seemed pissed I ordered the boy a Heineken instead of a Leo. Be careful in Super A not to let them rip you off! I'll still go back as I enjoy the bar but I'll never leave without checking to be sure I have my wallet with me and the right change. Quote
Guest Jumbo Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I've popped into Super A a few times recently and found that it's a reasonably nice place to have a drink with a nice and polite bar host(ess). I am not sure if she's the official mamasan or the one being descibed as pushy by fellow posters but I didn't find her pushy at all. There is standard selection of drinks which isn't always the case at this type of smaller bar. However, the boys are indeed very pushy and won't leave you alone unless you make it clear at least three or four times what you want (i.e. a relaxing time even if it means sitting alone or chatting wioth just one guy). I've never seen 20 guys; definitely more like 6-7 and at peak times. I used to go to Super A some years ago but always when I took take a guy out the service was terrible and the night ended in me feeling ripped off and humiliated. At that time they also had a habbit of not returning change without a fuss and the old mammasan with the ragged face and long hair was consistently very rude (haven't seen him recently). Hence I stopped going there. Going back recently, I also took a Lao guy off the bar and the experience was exactly the same as all the others in the past despite a total change of boys. Although he seemed nice in the bar and didn't mind friendly play there, outside was a different story. He just wanted to return to his apartment and take with him a big tip and didn't care at all that I'd paid an off fee for him. He didn't like ANYTHING after I had dragged him to the hotel room. His spat and slobbered constantly anytime his lips touched any part of me and after about 10 minutes the bed sheet was all wet and yuk.. He also couldn't get hard. Sadly, he rather spoilt an otherwise nice evening at the bar. This got me thinking..I've noticed that most of the customers going to Super A just play with the guys in the bar. I don't think I've seen anyone being taken out since I started going back. Perhaps then there is a good reason for this. I certainly won't be taking anyone else out from there and will give it a break before returning for a drink. Quote
TotallyOz Posted June 4, 2011 Author Posted June 4, 2011 I was there again last night. We went to Super A boys and Solid. We had eaten at Mango Tree and I thought it would be fairly inexpensive but one of the boys ordered 2 dishes to share and each was over 500 baht so for 3 to eat the cost was 2800.00. They include service in the total so I have 3,000 baht and waited for change. And, waited. And, waited. After 20 minutes I asked for the change again and they brought me another bin. At this point, I was not happy and told them I have already paid and was waiting for change. They returned about 5 minutes later with the 200 baht change. If it had been good service, I would most likely have just left the 200 there but I had to ask 3 times for another drink and things were just not working right last night. First time I have had poor service there. I hope this is not the direction the place is moving. Super A was fun but there were only a few boys on stage. As soon as drinks are ordered they all got off stage. I had brought up a boy from Myanmar from the massage place downstairs so I sat and chatted with him. The best thing to do is to bring one or more of those boys up. For 100 baht a drink, it is worth it. Solid had about 8 dancers and all were ladyboys. Quote

There you go again mis representing terms again. Although I can imagine that most of the boys in Solid were on the Feminine side of the street, there is no chance that they were all ladyboys. Perhaps I should provide some photos of you dressed up in the past and see if you are a Ladyboy???? LOL Ladyboys are what you went to Nana Plaza for. Let's not confuse the two terms!! Quote

Although I can imagine that most of the boys in Solid were on the Feminine side of the street, there is no chance that they were all ladyboys. Well, I'll give it to you, they were all on the fem side last night. I had 2 very manly guys with me who love ladyboys. I asked them how many of the "boys" working were gay boys and how many were ladyboys. They said, "all ladyboys." Now, I know you have trouble telling the two apart, but 5 of the 8 were more feminine than my ex in NYC and he is a drag queen diva! LOL Quote

Their definition of a Ladyboy is a boy who is Gay or in many cases just gets Fucked. You are totally incorrect. They call a gay boy the kinds of guys that work at Come In Bar in Pattaya. They know what a gay boy is. The ones last night were not gay boys. They were ladyboys without boob jobs. You know how to tell? Ask them if you pay for a boob job if they will take it. I bet they would. EVERY one of them last night! Now, as your butt was not in my seat last night, you don't know do you? You can guess. You can assume. But, you know what they say about assuming? I went back to ask the boys tonight if I was wrong when I said the ones working were ladyboys. They said no. I told them you said I was nuts. They said, you "didn't have good eyesight" and suggested I take you to get a new prescription. Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 One boy who works in Solid is definitely not fem and happens to be extremely well endowed. Quote
TotallyOz Posted June 4, 2011 Author Posted June 4, 2011 One boy who works in Solid is definitely not fem and happens to be extremely well endowed. I don't doubt that at all. I have seen men there before. But, last night, there were none. The only boys there were very very fem boys. Not one masculine boy in the entire place when I was there. Quote

Not one masculine boy in the entire place when I was there. And there is the key to your prejudice. If the boy is not Masculine in your humble opinion then he is a Ladyboy. Once again I stand by my statement. Ladyboys at Nana are totally different then most of the boys you saw and I don't care what night it was. There are many feminine boys who you routinely along with your live in Boys call Ladyboys. The vast majority of Ex Pats or visitors would refer to those same boys as Gayboys not as Ladyboys. In other words your judgement is a completely minority opinion. I am still trying to figure out when that was all you ever took from a Bar , you did not call them Ladyboys but just cute boys. FOOD FOR THOUGHT???? Quote

But, as you seem to want to state you are as knowledgeable from 8 thousand miles away from Solid as I am being in the establishment last night, I'd say you don't have a leg to stand on. FOOD FOR THOUGHT????????? You used to be better at this. You had no answer for the fact that for 2 years that is all you took off from the Bars and you never referred to them as Ladyboys. And in your last paragraph you seemed to admit that there is a category of Gay Boys rather then lumping them in with the Ladyboys which you routinely do and most certainly your two visitors always do. You are right I am 8000 miles away but you have been consistent for quite a long time as referring to Gay Boys as Ladyboys. That being the case I am confident that for most people in Thailand , all the boys in Solid that night would not be referred to as Ladyboys. Your prejudice not mine. Stop eating Peanut Butter Sandwiches and have some Food for Thought!! Still waiting for others to chime in on their thoughts about Gay Boys being routinely called LadyBoys??? By the way Dear your last reply was way past your bedtime. Nighty Nite Quote

Do you remember the first boy that lived with me in Thailand? That was on my second trip here. Less than 4 months in Thailand total. You call him a ladyboy? You introduced me. You have such poor memory! And, you didn't answer any of my questions earlier either. You can't have it both ways! Fact is, you loose! Period. End of discussion. Debate over. I win! Thank you very much! And, you are right, it is way past my bedtime. So goodnight! I'll let you continue the debate by yourself. You at least have a shot that way. Quote

Guest HeyGay Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 So what your saying firecat69, Oh I get it now, your confirming, Michael only has Man Boys with him, so they can pick up lady boys and probably ladies, so he can watch them, well there is nothing wrong with that, if he can't cum up to it himself, call in the sexperts , I'm sure we have all had a plumber in before, you would not expect to tell him how to do his job, I know many Voyeurs. The problem is in all the years I have been coming to Thailandม a Gay lady boy is someone who has a Fem voice and acts lady like. The owners of Bangkok Bars, tell the Boys in some Bars not Classic Bar, act like a Man or your get the sack, do not show any signs of Fem actions or voices, it's Bad For Business, we only want very few Fem acting voiced Boys on show here and they will be the more obvious ones. But many can't keep the pretense up for long it's in the genes. You know what they say, If it looks like a Pig, Acts like a Pig, Eats like a Pig, it's a Pig, or a lady Boy in this case. Quote
TotallyOz Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 I love that the great debate is about one sentence in my post from yesterday. I did talk about poor service at Mango Tree and a lot about Super A. I like ladyboys and I like gay boys and I like manly men. I have gone with all of them over the years. I prefer a manly man for company, a gay boy for sex and ladyboys to add to the threesome. I don't have a prejudice in the way I refer to them. I was using the terminology of the boys that were with me last night. I didn't think it cause anyone to get upset. Since it did, I'll change my statement. Go up several posts and replace: Solid had about 8 dancers and all were ladyboys. With: Solid had about 8 dancers and all were the absolute most overly feminine gay queens I have ever seen on stage with the exception of La Cage in Las Vegas. Whew. That was easy now wasn't it? So, now that I didn't call them ladyboys, I hope others don't get so upset. Quote

I bet the Man Boys you had with you for company and the absolute most fem Gay Queens, cant wait for the Man boys have an Ogie with them, must be like making a film with you as the Director , when does the film come out, I exspect your like Alfred Hitchcock where you walk past like the Plumer some times, in the film.
