Jomtien is pretty busy these days aswell. A large part of why I moved away from the beach. Having said that, Jomtien is a lot quieter than Pattaya.

A huge change since our last visit three months ago. We walked through the bar area at about 2000  (yes, I know that's early) and were amazed at the number of guys eagerly awaiting the attention of punters. And there were certainly more falang visitors than last time....the bingo bar was packed. Dick's and Sandbar, our two Jomtien favourites, have been busy since we arrived last week.

This morning we walked the beach through the gay area; many bathers and beach-lovers as well as people merely strolling, like us. In fact, I don't remember seeing this number of people there for ten years at least.

We also walked past Boyztown a couple of nights ago, again rather early, and it seemed to be almost deserted. Perhaps the crowds came later.

Last night, I went with my main squeeze to the @Home bar in the Jomtien Complex for their weekly BINGO night and we were turned away as there was no more seating available.

I have never seen it so crowded as it was last night.

I am truly happy for the bar owners - as the low season, when most of you forum members are not here, is like a ghost town, and it is truly amazing that these bars even survive.

I don't see myself getting into central Pattaya or Sunee till after the high season chaos.

He is a cutey - but he is a money boy - and so I need to act accordingly to keep my heart from falling in love with him.  He is also the guy that for 4 months now has been organizing my 4 hands massages.

I will escape from Thailand (29 December) before the New Year's Eve countdown, when that awkward moment arrives on who will get the first kiss of the new year.

I already made that mistake 1 year prior with my ex - resulting in us breaking up and I will NOT go through that nightmare again.  Even though I am a pig like many forum members here - I am a romantic at heart when it comes to the "first kiss of the new year" - so, no need to risk that again.

 

Do any other forum members give any credence to this superstition?

I usually focus more on 'first paycheque of the year ".

I don't give any credence to superstitions and love when black cat crosses my way on Friday 13th and nothing happens.

My last day in Pattaya was spent wandering around,  enjoyed the chaotic mess of walking street.

Them back to Bangkok, its malls and Arena!

First a trip up to the top of Mahanakhon for the view!  After I finally came down I realized Aena had just opened so dropped by.  Not many guys there yet but i

Spill I picked one.  Great smile , short and he surprised me he actually knew how to give a massage!  His English was fairly good as were afters as well!

Arena brought a question as well.   Once again my room was on the top floor.   Is it bad luck or do they see a guy with mobility problems and thinK “top floor!”?   Lol

That night made my way to Fresh Boys for number 41 who was not there for the rest of my trip.  That is not to say I did not have fun.  I made another visit to Arena with a different guy with more muscle and enjoyed it a lot!

How is it arena gets 3.5 stars?  

OK  some random thoughts from my trip.

I have mixed feelings from my Bangkok Hotel,  Centre Pointe Silom.  Nice hotel with good views and an amazing staff.  It is a bit far from the action and for some reason every gay site I tried was blocked as Porn including this site.

Bolt,  good prices but often hard to find cars which announced arrived but could be anywhere in a few block radius. Twice a different car then listed on the app.  At the airport they were on different levels then app stated which was a challenge.  I had planned to use them to get to Bangkok which proved imposible so I took the bus.

In all a really good trip.

I have feeling #41  landed nice sponsor for a time . When I was there about 2 weeks ago he showed up in big cock show and then promptly disappeared.

As for Arena , for me it's always 5  stars, not as shiny like say, Jey or Senso but never disappoints. I have also sense of attachment as I remember their beginnings when they opened one floor below. ( HIS  spa on the same plaza, long gone , was my first ever massage place in Bangkok)

 

Centre Point was my quarantine hotel in Dec 2021 while waiting for test results and was great. Definitely not issue with access to this site and porn . No need to sweat about Bolt or Grab if BTS station is steps away and regular taxis are aplenty.
