Chillax Massage opens on Soi 6

Although workers are still putting finishing touches on former home of M-Star, Chillax is staffed up and open for business.

Was greeted by a charming Lao guy who took me on a tour around the facilities. 
 

The oil massage rooms all have en-suite shower on third and fourth floors.

Looks bright and professional like the shops along Surawong Road! I cannot imagine having fun in such a "clean" joint!

Have done so and found everything (room, masseur, facilities) satisfactory in all respects. The showers in the eight oil massage rooms can easily accommodate three, although two is enough for me 🙂.

In my experience, I’ve found the shops on Soi 6 satisfactory although I have not sampled any of the all-Thai 9-Teen shops. Others, however, have and you can find their reports scattered about in individual TR’s.

Just arrived in Bangkok for a few days, and headed to Chillax, encouraged by previous comments.

Pleased to be able to agree with @reader’s positive analysis.  I arrived and requested 90 minute oil massage, and a masseur was “recommended” to me, whom I was happy to accept. Walked all the way up to the top (mind your head on the stairs ceiling if you’re tall) to a very calm and comfortable massage room with en-suite shower.

Masseur did not speak a single word of English (not even “hello”) and, touchingly, spoke to me in Thai (I assume) thinking I would understand. Hand signals and use of the calculator app covered what we needed. His massage technique seemed very detailed and knowledgeable, though perhaps lacked confidence. Since Chillax has only just opened, maybe this is his first time working in such an establishment. But I enjoyed the massage very much, and he certainly warmed up with very generous post-massage activities, and I was happy to tip more than he had requested.

After returning back to reception, I discovered his name was Big, and I was given one of their business cards in case I want to book next time.

Good massage combined with good afters in a good environment is the holy grail of massage venues! I prefer it if the masseur doesn't/can't speak much too so that other senses take over.
