Members Latbear4blk Posted November 14 Members Posted November 14 I have been using Airbnb for my travels, and I am very happy with their service so far. However, it is always good to have an alternative. I heard about Expedia, which I thought it was a site to book flights, hotels, and car rentals. However, they also offer now homes for short term renting. Comparing it against Airbnb, one con I see is that Expedia only allows you to rent up to 29 days, and I am currently also planning for longer stayings. On 29 days or shorter rents, their prices seem competitive against Airbnb, and a major advantage is that you do not have to pay until you arrive. I am not looking for hotels. Does anyone have any experiences renting homes for short term through Expedia? Quote

I know some neighbors in Mexico had their homes listed on Expedia and booking.com but never had it for rent there. People would show up unexpected expecting to stay there. So not sure how strict their security/processes are, but I wouldn't take the chance.... reader and Latbear4blk 1 1 Quote
