First night in Phnom Penh

Took the afternoon "deluxe" bus from Siem Reap to PP, got a good night rest so was better than having to wake up and rush to the 7 or 8am bus. 6 boring hours with lots of horn honking, bit a smooth ride otherwise with a food option half way thru the trip, not bad for $15usd. Vet air bus express, they have vans or busses, it's recommended to take the bus, more comfortable.

Staying at the same hotel I stayed at my only other time here, 10 yrs ago, how times flies. Silver mounts hotel, VERY basic but great location, clean, quiet, free b'fast, no buffet today so choice to order off the menu and no problems with guests, at b'fast there was an older guy with a local guy and last night another guy with a younger girl. $21 usd a night is a bargain.

I met someone on Blued, we went to Space hair bar and had some drinks talked and joked around with the guys, met a guy from the UK that lives here, very funny and also a group of straight older couples from the UK came in...had a very fun vibe last night. Even the guy I was with was saying the guys working the bar are all not straight and a couple of bottoms...

Back to the hotel and my guy's phone had died and I guess he has a digital ID that he couldn't access, so the front desk guy just took his picture....no drama like in Colombia.

Lots of other choices in the apps, I'm sure I'll enjoy PP much more than SR.

Funny thing, someone messaged me on grindr and said welcome back...I thought, who is going to remember me from 10 yrs ago? So my instinct was it's a ploy to talk to me....I didn't recognize any of his pics. He then sent pics of us together 10 yrs ago, OMG. He changed sooo much, some age better than others I guess.

The water festival starts tonight, I didn't plan to be here for that, supposedly lots of out of towners come in, lets see how the next couple of days go....

Rob, if you go back to Space Bar again, can you please ask how the handsome young guy who was a candidate in the Mr Cambodia competition fared?

Unfortunately, I don't think he won but it's hard to get info about the competition on the internet.

Flight takes 40 min and "last minute" price may be as low as USD 40-45. Even now, tomorrow price despite Friday and water festival is only $62.

That would be a nice change. Whan I was there in Aug prices were well above 100 $ so I skipped an idea of going to Siem Reap from PP altogether.

Taxi to the new airport, time to the airport, checkin in time, 30 kg luggage, flight time, if on time...collect luggage, taxi from airport.....bus in this case made logistical and financial sense.

I’m finding this thread interesting at in PP in early Dec for 7 days. Look forward to visiting a lot of the bars and spas that guys have mentioned on here.

I've been to Spacehair, , POC, Toolbox, so far.... nothing WOW...been fun, but mostly talking with expats/tourists. 

POC was fun, but they all were drunk and even If I brought someone back, they would be useless.....

A tuk tuk driver tried to take me somewhere and he asked what I was looking for, I told him cock. He said he had a big one, I said no you don't. He tried to get me to go in and touch it, I told him to show it...needless to say, wasn't big, lol.

Tomorrow is another day I guess, but Colombian big dick guy keeps messaging me and I'm wondering why I'm on this side of the world and I keep reminding myself it's for the food and massage, 😝
