Bottom Boys vs Tops in Bogota and Medellin

Hey guys! I am ecstatic to have found this forum - I've been searching through the archives all weekend. I'm planning a solo trip to Colombia in March, and it will be my first time traveling outside of the US/ Canada. I just started learning Spanish with a tutor in Colombia (by video), so hopefully, I'll know some basic conversational Spanish by then. I also bought an instant translator device, so we'll how effective that is...

 

I got the idea to visit Colombia like a year ago after seeing and chatting with all the hot Colombian and Venezuelan boys on Chaterbate. I have a thing for young Latino BOTTOM boys, and I just discovered how cheap yet nice the accommodations in places like Bogota are, so spending a week in Colombia sounds like a lot of fucking (affordable) fun. I see there are numerous nice AirBnb options available around the area where Theatron is located, which is perfect because I'm super excited to check out the club. I assume this area is also the place to be for escorts on Grindr? I've already found and chatted with two guys from Mileroticos who I want to meet, but I'm sure I'll come across a lot of what I'm looking for on Grindr. I've been using the Explore feature, and the current selection looks promising. 

 

I just have a few questions for y'all:

1. After reading through a lot of posts in the forum, it seems as though a lot of the foreign visitors are looking for mostly top Colombian guys. Are the majority of the escorts more on the top side? I'll be on the hunt for bottom boys like the boys in the photos. Will that be difficult for me? 

2. Bogota seems like the best option as a first-time visitor to Colombia, so I was planning to just stay a week in Bogota. However, given how I'm into young bottom boys, does that make Medellin the better option? It seems like a lot of the boys on Chaterbate I consider most hot are from Medellin.

3. Another poster I came across on this forum mentioned finding other like-minded travelers who would split accommodations and party overnight with multiple boys. That sounds like a hot fucking time! If anyone is interested in doing that, let me know!

If you stay in Bogota, Chapinero is the best place to stay for a first-time visitor. And teatron is a great disco. I'm into the same type of guys and had no  problem finding them in Bogota or Medellin. 

Still I would go to Medellin. The city is more attractive, the climate is better and plenty of things to do (and an exciting gay nightlife as well).  I also suffer from altitude sickness in Bogota (I come from a country at sea level).  

Always be wary about the location of guys on webcam. What's mentioned in the profile, is often not their actual location.

Trust me you will find plenty of btm guys in Bgta. Don’t overthink this. Actually many of the prof escorts are vers. 
 

it will be very easy to spot in Grindr if the guy is for pay. Or they will soon leet you know in the chat. Barging hard. Asking price can easily be 200-300 mil COP but most will accept lower.

Hmm, I wonder if I'll have an issue with the sickness, since I live in Florida. 

I'll read more about gay nightlife in Medellin, as I've only been reading about Bogota thus far. I'm seeing one-way flights on Priceline from Bogota to Medellin for less than $30, so I could do both cities. Knowing Spanish would make all this a lot less intimidating.

Ha, yep, the boy I'm most attracted to on Mileroticos quoted 300,000 COP, which I assumed was a good deal before reading over the forum. 😁

2. You would be remiss to not spend time in Medellín given the proximity to the capital. but as noted you will find plenty of bottoms in both places.  Medellín has become a major center for video webcamming with multiple studios around the city. and with very high youth unemployment in the country, many young men relocate just to do this type of work. For the vast majority of them it is a job, not a lifestyle.

3. The aforementioned "Dan" post, which I have not commented on until now, was the only post from that particular member. These wild jacuzzi parties with multiple webcam boys sound fantastic, except there is zero proof that these ever happened. Do these types of events occur in Medellín? Absolutely. But you will need to have more than a passing acquaintance with the city and its people before you will uncover those types of opportunities. There are several boy wranglers in the city that could make this happen, but that requires connections that were simply missing in the original post.

as others have mentioned, no shortage of men for rent (top and bottom) and for free.  if you are only there a week, stay in bogota, too much hassle on a short trip to change cities.  Next trip go to medellin.   if you are young , the altitude sickness is short lived if noticeable (it bothered me a little for a day and Im 65).

you will find many smaller gay bars in the area, full of young men who will go home with you as well.

Gosh, I don't know... Now that I'm looking more closely at the Medellin boys on Mileroticos, HOLY SHIT, the boys there are a lot more my type (and age). I think I'll definitely need to spend more time there.

Maybe I could spend the first weekend in Bogota, and then the rest of the week in Medellin. The flight cost in March, flying from/to Orlando, is not bad, so I'm going to book this trip asap.

then go straight to medellin, skip bogota.  go thru customs and take the commuter to Medellin (if you have a flight to bogota).  stay in Laureles or el Poblado.  if you get tired o Medellin then return to bogota early for your flight home.   That's the method I used on my first trip 4 weeks medellin, 1 week bogota

keep in mind flights BOG-MDE are cheap, but have to pay for every little thing, luggage, seat, air, boarding pass.....even with Star Alliance or Oneworld status, you don't free luggage on the cheap tix.

There is no shortage of bottom guys in Medellin!  I wouldn't spend a lot of time trying to chase down webcam guys.  From what I can tell many have set work schedules that they can't or don't deviate from.  Even though some might be really good at their jobs, it is usually just a job for them.  You will have zero trouble connecting with guys through Grindr and other apps.  Treat them nicely, and they will reciprocate.  

Personally, I'd be a little reluctant to try and arrange an all night party with multiple guys.  Most hotels and Airbnbs will allow at most two guests.  Most all nighters involve a fair amount of alcohol and other chemicals, which could make you somewhat vulnerable.  I've had zero issues one-on-one with local guys.  Most are very friendly and eager to show you a good time.
