Just arrived- Pattaya

First time I've  arrived in the morning in a decade.... was a red eye from India, only a 2 hr flight, I feel pretty fresh as compared to coming after the LONG flights.

Arrived at the satellite terminal, 1st time... I've departed from there, was a piece of cake, arriving though is a shit show when more than 1 flight comes in at the same time....maybe it looked good on paper?

From landing, immigration,  luggage was almost 1st out, to meet mike taxi was 30 minutes in total...not too bad. 1.5 hrs to Pattaya, zero traffic. Ambiance hotel wanted to charge me for early check in, she's kind of new. When I told her I'm a 25 yr customer that books direct so they don't have to pay a commission, she gave me the room.

I'm here until Monday and then BKK for a few days...if anyone wants to meet for a drink or do some marching ,  it'll  put a face to the dry sarcasm and cynicism that I'm known for 😉

Looks like I'll miss @Olddaddy seems like he's going to BKK today, wonder if he planned it that way  🤔

I'd appreciate a report from Ambiance. Is it busy? And Boyztown itself?   Leaving it for Jomtien was an easy decision owing to the sleepless nights caused by late night, or rather early morning noise but we both miss those penthouse rooms. And the staff.... is Dom still there? I was very sad to say goodbye to him.

I am due to arrive Thursday night for 3 days. Staying at Copa, on advice of our resident sage, Vinapu! Then up to Bangkok. Happy to meet for a drink etc. On Friday I have booked a Siam Roads guide for the day and evening!

That would be great. If all goes well, I hope to be at Copa by 7pm. My flight  is due to land at Swampy at 3.45. Copa are providing a car to hotel. I will be rather tired! Flight is from London.

I’ll be staying in the Ambiance at the start of December so would love to hear what you think of it this year. I can always stay elsewhere if it’s not good.
