Guest fountainhall Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I love some of the signs I see around the place. The first two I saw last week at a roadside stop outside Bangkok. The rather unfocussed one is from a BTS Skytrain. I realise that Thais adore children, but it always amazes me that they mollycoddle them so much. The last is from a taxi window. There's hardly room to have sex in the back seat in my view, but I suppose rifles may be more common than we realise! I have noticed a lot of similar signs cropping up in Bangkok taxis. Quote
Bob Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 The Thai writing on the first two signs says "bpat-saa-wa" and is simply the Thai word for urinal (not that you couldn't guess that from the drawing). Tawan Daeng, the music joint near me, also has a sign with a big X drawn over a revolver. Kind of a weird way to say "no guns" but it's maybe a reminder that things aren't always so calm and peaceful here in the Land of Smiles. Quote

But 'calm'? Thankfully no, not with all that wonderful nonstop music. Can't wait to get back for another fun night! Quote

It't somewhat like Warmup but a bit more upscale. It just opened at the end of December and appears to be doing quite well. Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Oops! suppose this was fairly common last week. Quote
