Quite static (ie no dancing, slow rotation). Toy Boys. Maybe only a dozen boys when I was there, but did include the lovely "Stang". Expensive off fee at 400 baht. Dream Boys/Dynamite I can't remember which is which, but the downstairs bar had about 6 people, so I did not sit down. The upstairs one was better with about a dozen people, again quite static. I popped in about 3 other bars, but did not stay in any of them. SUNEE Nice boys. A gogo bar where there is actually some dancing on the stage. Good range of guys. Probably the best gogo bar in town, except it seems necessary to be careful in checking ID cards. Happy Boys My preferred table top bar. Some cute guys & the cut away shorts work well. Some of them know all the right buttons to press to lure the customer in too Eros About 6~8 guys only. Large bar, too few dancers & customers. Wonderland About 12 dancers, of which one was very cute. Mic My Boy AVOID. Good Boys I opened the door, all the dancers were sat on the stage, which is usually a sign of no customers, so I walked straight back out again. Krazy Dragon About 10 dancers, some in the shorts, some in the trunks. A couple were my type, but for some reason this bar doesn't work for me. GayRomeo I fixed up 2 meetings. One was OK & the guy in the other was quite different to what I had expected from the photos. I recommend any tourist in town for a few days might as well concentrate on the bars. They are more fun & what you see is what you get. Overall The trend is for fewer gogo bars and often fewer dancers in the bars that remain. Something like 4 Sunee gogo bars have closed since I was there last year, including the excellent Euroboys. Also, those bars with 8 dancers probably lack the scale to survive. Unless you particularly like certain dancers, why go in when there are other bars with more choice? I also had a couple of guys who readily agreed to do long time, then did short time & left. To counteract this, I started explaining "Short time small tip, long time good tip", or at least on the nights when I fancied long time. Quote

However for anyone who can afford to go to the bars & is only on a relatively short holiday, I think it is worth buying a couple of drinks and paying the off fee, just for the better experience. On the other hand, anyone who is only just scraping enough money together to have the holiday can save money by using Gay Romeo. Quote

It contains a good map (with venues) of Ramkamheang/Ratchadapisek Area in BKK. May help to expand your horizons beyond declining go go bar scene. Quote

It contains a good map (with venues) of Ramkamheang/Ratchadapisek Area in BKK. May help to expand your horizons beyond declining go go bar scene. I didn't intend it to be depressing, but the gogo bar scene clearly has shrank in the last couple of years. I still like gogo bars. Also there's a clear advantage in having many bars in close proximity, as it's easy to walk around until the customer finds the best bar. Quote

It amazes me that people don't understand that you can do both Gayromeo and the bars. The bars are only open for 5 hours . Gayromeo is open 24 hours. Are their some boys who mis-represent their likes or dislikes on gayromeo. Of course just like there are boys at the Bars who say they do everything and then do nothing. There are no guarantees on either. You learn on Gayromeo to tell the boy if he does not look like the pics you will send him away with no money. Rarely will a boy agree to come under those restrictions unless he looks like the pics. The boys in the bar will agree to anything because they know at the least they will get credit for an off and a minimum tip even if they don't do as promised. Many of the boys on Gayromeo especially in Pattaya are Bar Boys so you can make contact with him on Gayromeo and then go buy him a drink at his Bar. If you like him, you can off him or arrange a date for another time. I will admit , I like Gayromeo better in Bangkok because almost all the boys I meet have real jobs. That makes it a little harder to arrange meetings but for me it means he is not a professional Bar Boy. Yes money may or may not change hands but the boys are not professional prostitutes. Maybe I am splitting hairs but to me it makes a difference. Quote

That is also my experience here in Bangkok - either they have jobs or are virtually full-time students. So they tend to be on gayromeo only on their days off or after work/studies. Quote

I guess it depends when you feel the call. I'd much rather have a cute boy for breakfast which is easy to do on Gayromeo. Still plenty of time for the beach after but of course it depends on what time you wake up. I see no reason to care if the boys lie about their age on the low side because I make it plain they must look like picture or they get 0(nothing). I don't care how old the boy is as long as he is 18 and looks like the pics. Looking at his ID in daylight is usually much clearer about whether he is 18 or not . If he says he is 22 and is 30, I don't care as long as he looks like the pics. If you have to go to an internet cafe then I understand the timing problem. But if you have a laptop and a WiFi connection, it takes 10 or 15 minutes at most to find an agreeable partner at almost anytime of the day. If I want to see the boy now, I tell him shower at my place and be here in 30 minutes or don't come. They almost always come!!! In this case I am talking about Pattaya boys only!! Quote

I note The Venue seems to have a cabaret show, however their publicity material did not show the kind of "boys in trunks" experience that I look for. So I was not motivated to take a baht bus to Jomtien in the evening. JOMTIEN Other Venues I sometimes stroll through the complex on the way back from the beach in the afternoon. There are quite a few host bars. Ganymede looked interesting, but I did not stop. Also a couple of massage options, but the staff at the establishments in Day Night look much more to my taste, so I did not use the Jomtien massage services this year. I also stopped at Dicks Cafe Jomtien. I don't know if there is any connection whatsoever with Dicks Cafe Bangkok, however the Bangkok version has some very nice dishes on the menu (I recommend it) whilst there was nothing whatsoever which appealed to me at the Jomtien version. There are quite a few gay friendly accommodation options in Jomtien, but I prefer to be closer to the gogo bars in Pattaya. That's what I enjoy in the evening! I generally travel around when on holiday, so only spend 7~10 days in Pattaya. Boystown & Sunee easily account for all the nights. The Beach I visited Dongtan beach every day. Many cute Thai boys were there, although most of the ones I fancied were already fixed up with farang. Certainly some of the unattached ones were cute, but not sufficiently so to prevent me from waiting for the gogo bars to open. Quote

But, I saw the BBoys there from the shows and I liked one guy and I stopped by to off him. He was available but was already with a customer. I waited for 20 min but they both left together. At its best, high energy (loud music) with energetic twinks dancing their ass off. At its worst, a dead feel with no staff and no energy. A real plus is that it stays open much later than any of the other gay gogo bars. By the way, Some drop in female customers, but they rarely stay long...in case that would bother you. Quote
