KhorTose Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Okay folks, it is that time of year. Time to make that all important New Years resolution. Now that you have made them it is time to tell your friends and fellow posters what they are. That way we can hold you to them and raze you when you fail to live up to them. Me: 1. rejoin gym and go 4x a week 2. Lose 10 k 3. Get knees fixed and start walking everywhere again Quote
Bob Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Hmmmm.....never believed in making resolutions for the new year but, what the heck, I'll give it a stab: 1. Become good looking and young. 2. Win the lotto. 3. Don't become depressed over not succeeding in the above two resolutions. P.S. Really going to the gym? If so, call me, I want to go too (and do they allow smoking there?). Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I can't recall one New Year's resolution I have ever been able to keep. This year, like lvdkeyes, I want to start going back to the gym - 8 years after having last been inside one. 5 kgs off would suit me fine and enable me to get into some old pants again. I'd love to give up chocolate, but I know now that's impossible. I'd also like to unpack completely after a trip instead of waiting several days and feeling guilty when I keep seeing a half empty case lying around. So there's no point my posting resolutions. I get the loser's prize every time. Mark Twain Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual. Jay Leno Now there are more overweight people in America than average-weight people. So overweight people are now average… which means, you have met your New Year's resolution. Oscar Wilde Good resolutions are simply checks that men draw on a bank where they have no account. James Agate To tolerate fools more gladly, provided this does not encourage them to take up more of my time. Happy New Year! Quote
Guest Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Try adding: 4 In June, count the number of times you go to the gym & if it's less than twice a week, stop wasting money on the membership. I'm aiming to: 1 Make more money (to fund a long term move to Thailand) 2 Eat more healthily 3 Manage my time better Quote
kokopelli Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I am resolving to not post anything while drinking. Quote
TotallyOz Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 rejoin gym and go 4x a week Good luck on this! What gym do you go to? California Wow? If not, I hear it is fantastic in your city. Win the lotto Now up to 300,000,000 in Mega Millions. If you win, can I have a new motorcycle? I get the loser's prize every time. Well, considering I broke my first resolution Jan 1, I would like to get in the running for the prize. Manage my time better This is one of my goals this year! I hope I can do it. Good luck with your success as well! I am resolving to not post anything while drinking. I think that is a good goal to have. How about after you have finished drinking? Is that OK? Quote
Guest razzamataz Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Eat less salt is a good resolution. Quote
