TotallyOz Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I know many here don't think it a good idea to ride a motorcycle. I love riding mine and find it the best way to get around in Pattaya. However, I am often shocked when I see tiny babies on the bikes. I wonder how many accidents occur. It just blows my mind to see Dad driving Mom while she is holding little Pan in between them. Are there no laws here that forbid this? Quote
Guest Snowkat Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Are there no laws here that forbid this? There probably are but they are not worth the paper they are written on. Very few people, and certainly not most Thai riders, take any notice of any laws in relation to motorbikes - hence the appalling road accident death toll in Thailand. Quote
Gaybutton Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 What makes it even worse is the infants and babies almost never have helmets. Meanwhile, despite the fact they are carrying small children, so many of the motorcycle drivers still drive as if they've lost their minds, taking incredibly dangerous and unnecessary chances with the lives of their own children. It amazes me to see it and to see so much of it. Quote
