Hillary Clinton: State Department Likely Last 'Public' Post

My favorite Democrat (other than Dennis Kucinich) says that the Secretary of State is most likely her last position in public office. :) Most likely. :)

From NPR:

Hillary Clinton, who for a time in 2007 and 2008 looked like she would be the first woman to be the presidential nominee of one of the two major political parties, indicated Friday that her current job as the U.S.' chief diplomat would likely be her last public post.

She made the statement while answering a student's question during an official visit to Manama, Bahrain.

Reuters reported:

`I think I'll serve as secretary of state as my last public position and then probably go back to advocacy work, particularly on behalf of women and children.''

It was the first time Clinton has spoken so directly about leaving public service, where she has been a dominant figure inDemocratic circles for two decades.

Notice that Clinton wasn't exactly Shermanesque here. Sounds likes she left the door ajar by using "probably."

Maybe Obama will leave and let her run for President in 2012. I know there is no chance but for somebody who is so profoundly disappointed in Obama I can dream.

Then again I look at Mccain and am so Happy Obama was elected just to keep that mad man out of the office!!!! Imagine anyone stupid enough to attack Robert Gates on the Floor of the Senate.

A more dedicated public servant there has never been. It amazes me he takes the Crap McCain hands out.
