I always use a taxi to travel to/from the airport.

It’s quicker, it’s more comfortable, you don’t have to walk/ travel extra miles to your accommodation, reliable and waiting for you, no queueing, and it runs on time.

OK it costs 7 times as much (about 1300 baht) but that’s only 3/4 of the cost of short time off!

After 5,500 miles travelling I’m not going to pinch pennies on 1300 baht.

By the way the same distance in the UK would cost you about 7000 baht, so it’s no contest!

Same. I don't trust myself and my sense of direction after a long flight. But I pre-book taxi via Klook app and depending on car of your choice (i.e standard to more comfy SUV) , cost will be between 500 - 900 baht toll included.

I used Mike's taxi  ,they only let  me down once .

You do have to walk to the carpark though

I am a very lazy guy so once I paid 2500 for a Kerbside Limo to pick me up after the fast track

No fast track now though

Airport straight to Pattaya

I once got the train ,I think it was like 5 hours

Are you sure about that? I thought I read that some were still in action.

Anyway, I’m going tomorrow so I will find out!

I arrived at Swampy this afternoon and the fast tracks were all active, just as in the past.

Went through in less than 3 minutes.

There were long queues for those who didn’t qualify.

As gerefan stated the fast track is still available "if" one qualifies.   I believe age 70 or over; disabled; etc, etc..  Just went through fast track yesterday and it took 2 minutes.

I'm not 70 though, I guess I could bring a walking stick with me .

That's an idea 💡 😉
