I'm glad you expressed an opinion on that practice. I too think it is improper to oblige anyone to consume alcohol. I would not even excuse it away with "nobody is forced to drink for money" because in reality his employment in the bar may be at risk if he regularly refuses. 

It is bad form on the part of the customer, and it is irresponsible on the part of the business to permit an unsafe, oppressive work environment.

What if a customer offered a cigarette or cocaine instead of a shot? I have seen and hired barboys who turned out to be Muslim. Should they be made to feel obliged to accept the shot?

Similar thing happened in beginning of 2023 to one of our members, no longer active. Guy from Grindr turned cop . Now I wonder if it was the same guy. Not sure if it was free though to answer macaroni21's question. But what I recall they met more than once.

to underscore point we both made , during Jessica's party I noticed one of models offered  that 100 baht   shot (Tum) was extremely uncomfortable after gulping it,  making strange face. And so was one of ladyboy singers.

Good point. I've seen too many of our brethren actively plying young boys with cigarettes, potentially condemning them to a life of coughing and wheezing, addiction to high priced cigarettes, and potentially to lung and other cancers. Day 11, part 1

Good night sleep after Y left till 9 , then breakfast with bkkmfj an latest round of gossip.

Every trip I make trek to Central Rama IX as I have reliable information that one of my most memorable guys ever, one M from Senso if now hairdresser there. I don’t have any sinister motived but would like to shake his hand after all those years. Unfortunately this was my 4^th or 5^th attempt and I did not see him there. Oh, well , will try next time , it’s only 6 MRT stops from Silom.

I returned to Sam Yan station ready to walk to Raya but bus 45 handily came to it’s stop and I went to Main Post Office as I has something to buy there. Since they started to but English sign on stops I found myself using buses more and more in Bangkok, not fastest way to go around but cheap and interesting. Ordinary bus it’s only 8 baht, AirConditioned about 20.

There was some discussion on forum about Prince and I volunteered to go and check as place lately is completely unheralded here. It’s quite a walk from Raya , perhaps 30 minutes but it’s nothing for somebody who walks from Patpong to Moonlight regularly.

When I approached courtyard some masseur emerged from the door, few more steps and we both were kind of shocked. Prince is one of those upscale shops with prices to match. 1.5 hr massage course is 1500 and min tip 2000, I upped it by 200 and got impression that James kind of expected even more but said nothing.

He told me shop is busy but almost all, he used 95% figure customers are Chinese. Few of them were perusing selection when I arrived and few were doing the same when I left.

Day 11 , part 2

Leaving Prince in the late afternoon  I realized that my last meal was breakfast. So decided on destination Madrid Tavern in Charoen Krung soi 49.

Brisk walk, after all I was just massaged by skilled and trained therapist,  to ST Louis BTS , two stations to Saphan Taksin and then walk to KFC in Robinson complex for chat with other member who was feasting on their fare.

I condemned idea right away, eating American fast food in city with such array of culinary delights looked like blasphemy for me but my friend was unfazed by my pontifications .After brief chat we parted ways and I continued to Madrid, about 10 minutes walk away.

Greeted with smile as always, I did not need to say anything as lade only asked “usual”  ? and in a second I had my Chang, no glass and soon heavenly smell of  shallot with cherry tomatoes  pizza filled the place. 365 total an finally not hungry. I returned by the bus. At 8pm both other members and me met at Foodland for our daily news exchange , discussed out todays destinations and decided to give a try to Banana club in soi 4.

Both barkers were thrilled to see me being back in Bangkok, duly lowered their briefs for traditional red note distribution, one even followed us inside suggesting I by him  a beer which I duly did  because I like him , he knows that and is mercilessly exploiting it, he, he.

What was new it were quite a few guys, by my estimation at least half were new compared to my last visit in May. Sadly a bit varied quality and if usually I disclaim I could off anybody from there, from today’s selection I can say that about perhaps every second. Show at Jupiter becomes bit more progressive with stiffies visible for prolonged second quite a few times. Big step forward for hitherto bit reserved bar.

Two Asian girls sitting beside invited two boys to seat with them and I wonder how it went as one of them was gay and total bottom as per me forum friend in the know. Not my problem though. After show was over we left. Next step was HotMale as my plan was to surprise S with another off  an if he will be gone I had 3 other guys in mind.

Another disaster but knowing from experience that refusal will lead nowhere I handed him 1500 which he took without the grimace, no wonder and left.

It happened before. It will happen in future but for some reason since it was one of sequence of this type of  behavior on this trip I was devastated . Even wondered what is possibly wrong with me.  

Now I fully understand lesbians who don’t want anything to do with guys. If I had option of going home in the morning I would. I had problem of putting myself together for few hours but finally went to bed to do what they say is supposed to be done with problem   - sleep with it.

Day 12

Sleeping with problem helped, First joy of saving 2500 last night. Second I have some consolators in Bkk  and decided to employ them ASAP, send 2 Line messages and responses came after I returned from breakfast with bkkmfj. So day started to look bright.

Then I found another 1500 $ in savings – I was thinking about October trip and planned on making decision after I return home. No need to wait till return, I don’t come.

Last gossips with bkkmfj who is returning to Pattaya today, then walk from Raya to Sukhumvit through Lumpini and back to cool me down  ( yaeh, big cooling in 30 degrees heat but it helped ).

One of those morning messages was from boy not from the scene who I meet 1-2 times every trip. He comes whenever he  wants and  we never take offence if one of us doesn’t have time for another.

Today he said he is free before work (works nights) and at 3pm I greeted him downstairs. We always order some food , he did  it right away after entering in and in several minutes we were feasting on some Thai treats and Chang beer from my fridge. Quite romantic afternoon, I swear, even if I said nothing he sensed I’m distressed because  he  was much more tender than normally. At one point he even joked “now I go because I’m your day boy but for sure you will get another one for the night”.

Prophet or what ? I wondered.

Big rain in the evening and I’m sure he came to work quite soaked. Today  I decided to see Fresh Boys, rarely visited bar by me as it specializes in twinks and that is not my usual diet. Bar was half full for the show , likely owing to that rain. Show quite progressive with plenty flesh and stiffies visible and touchable for  a fee as  artists are circulating audience offering feel for a tip. Boys many not necessarily be my type but there were 3 or 4 I’d take without any fuss. And somehow they felt  it as exactly the same guys were cruising me quite actively .

At 11 pm  S came   - that was my another morning message.  He paid his off fee already so I reimbursed him promptly. Since he also came bit soaked I proceed to dry him out by taking shower together. We have our routine and there’s no need to worry about early leaving and other antics. In course of conversation he suggested if I want I can see his room tomorrow. Gladly agreed.

So after very crappy night, great day and night followed.

Vinapu - you and I - were having simultaneous disasters at the same time within the walls of the Raya - only separated away from each other by 2 floors.  My offed Hotmale guy falling asleep immediately in my bed with NO action and a limp dick due to him sleeping - no matter what I did and your guy leaving you after only 1 hour.

@vinapu - had I known what was happening in your room - I would have said to you - ok Vinapu - you sleep in my bed with my sexy Burmese dead corpse and I sleep in your empty bed.  I would have had a good night sleep (as I prefer to sleep alone) - as I only slept about 2 hours and you would have gotten that sexy warm body to cuddle with.....

If there's a takeaway from this trip it's the growing realization that a substantial number of boys on the game have--among themselves--colluded to nail down a maximum price with no intention of making good on their promise.

Although they certainly have the right to bargain as hard as they can, they're undermining their intrinsic value by what amounts to fraud.

good news is , on day 11 I hit the bottom, after that things went up quite fast.

But yes , it was frustrating, not only because delinquent boys but plenty petty nuisances - constant messaging 'when I will see you again, I miss you' type , or' tomorrow  is my birthday , can we have dinner together " , excessive requests for tips in some bars - there Tawan stood out in wrong way, some unreasonable requests for tips for a session in the room,  out of blue request by boys and staff to buy them 2nd drink or even more riling to buy a drink to mamasan.

Those are small things easily overlooked but when accumulate en masse on otherwise not so great trip , overall impression is souring and one wonders if his choice of vacation spot was indeed optimal to put it mildly.

But I get why you are jealous, I'd be too being in your spot and there is plenty rationale to feel jealous, I can see that.

But I want to be clear. It's not a pricing which made me feeling down on that trip. I was prepared to pay.

In fact  in exchanged back some money on my way out (6500 -more than one great overnighter ) 

It's overbearing feeling that  some of them don't value our custom at all and feel free to lie and deceive for the sake of lousy buck. 

All bad memories with time will go away but one will stay with me for sure - I doubt I ever feel sorry reading that it's low season and boys are starving for customers as is was not an impression I left LOS with.

As for customer grabbing #31 faster than lightning, he did right thing through and through. Yes , he was sitting beside us and was watching boy intensely. He was sensible enough to ask mamasan to do right thing - ask me if I will be offing him. And he was smart and gentlemanly enough to grab boy when he knew he will be free to go but waited until I disappeared for that loo break to avoid awkward situation. In my opinion model bar behavior. Had he wait longer somebody else could be faster

Your analysis of Jupiter and it's boys is spot on. They are normal fun seeking boys. It's bar mandated disinterest which makes them  looking cold and disinterested..

Next evening I was sitting at G'bangkok dining with birthday boy strategically seating by the walkway. Two  Jupiter boys were walking with customer, no doubt offed. It's second time such opportunity is wasted in recent memory. In July of last year 18past 19 who stay in hotel nearby and me offed 2 boys from Jupiter. Mine was supposed to be LT but after  3 hours gave up on my company and wanted to go home. 18past19's boy  hired ST ( and one I salivated about then and I still do now - we did not see him this time ) expressed desire to stay till morning which 18 was not keen on. If we communicated I had  a company to wipe my tears and boy two generous tips

Curious about rationale that you always cash out unused baht on departure, knowing that you're going to be returning at some point. Holding on to some baht would mean one less inconvenience of money exchange on arrival.
