Olddaddy Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I'm heading off to Bangkok in 4 weeks horny as hell ๐ฅ But I have a problem and I don't know if it's mental or physicalย I arrive and after a few days I am not horny like back in farangland where I am salivating over Thai cock I'm thinking if anyone knows say 2 weeks before what vitamin reginen a dirty old man like me can get on. I'm thinking zinc ? ย Quote

From personal experience: bitter dark chocolate, hazelnuts, and especially parsley and dill greens dramatically increase potency. For me, a mixture of lightly salted feta cheese or cottage cheese with a lot of parsley and dill works perfectly. Quote

Moses Posted September 5 Posted September 5 1 minute ago, Olddaddy said: You actually can get that in Russia? Hahahaha... very funny. Russia and Switzerland are two countries in the world that have a special law stating that only a product in which at least 18% of the product's weight is cocoa butter (in the US - 15%) and at least 35% cocoa (in the EU also 35%) can be called "chocolate", 70% for dark bitter chocolate. Note the conjunction "and" - in Russia both standards are mandatory, and in the US and EU only one of them. That's why all sorts of Western Rittersports and other surrogates like Mars and Bounty are sold here under the name "chocolate-flavored product" and not "chocolate", because they do not meet Russian standards. Russia is in the TOP-10 countries in chocolate exports and produces more of it than Switzerland. When I travel, my friends always ask me to bring them Russian chocolate. Quote
Olddaddy Posted September 5 Author Posted September 5 Rittersports is the best chocolateย Expensive though but beautiful, love the peanut oneย I love cherry ripesย Not really keen on Mars Bars or Snickersย Anyway we are supposed to be taking about vitamins to make you horny not the delicious chocolate ๐๐ Quote
Moses Posted September 5 Posted September 5 By the way, Western producers of good chocolate do not support sanctions against Russia, because they do not want to lose this market. That's why both Swiss Lindt and Belgian Callebaut are sold here, the only difference being that they are very cheap here, as they compete with Russian chocolate. Callebaut, for example, costs about 4 pounds for 100 grams here, not 14 as in Belgium. Rittersport is low end product here, cheap as dirt - less than US $2 per piece.ย Olddaddy 1 Quote

Members unicorn Posted September 5 Members Posted September 5 It's quite unlikely that any vitamins or minerals would increase libido (sex drive). Certainly nothing which would stand up to scientific scrutiny. Of course, some foods might put you in a happy mood. If one wants to base one's decision on scientific facts, rather than on an individual's personal experience, the only substance I know of, other than male hormones, of course, which has had some scientific study (although not great studies) to suggest efficacy is marijuana, especially THC/Sativa strains. One would get whiplash trying to keep up with the marijuana laws in Thailand, but the latest I heard is that marijuana is legal there.ย https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9854104/ "...Over 70% of participants reported increased desire (M = 4.05, SD = 0.962) and orgasm intensity (M = 4.05, SD = 0.884). Participants who reported masturbating indicated that cannabis enhanced their pleasure while masturbating (n = 620, 62.5%). Participants also stated that cannabis enhanced their sense of taste (n = 583, 71.9%) and touch (n = 576, 71.0%)...".ย Quote

I have been using chocolate as an excuse and just ate 3 Mars bars ๐ Tongkat Ali is not a vitamin or mineral, but rather a plant extract. There is one small study which showed an increase in testosterone levels and decrease is stress hormone levels. The study was published in a small sports nutrition journal. That being said, two of the four authors had obvious conflicts of interest, one actually being an employee of a company that manufactures TA, and the other being an employee of a nutrition company that uses TA as one ingredient in an anti-stress dietary supplement. Also, the study was funded by the supplement maker. I would look at that study with a grain of salt, but at least it's some evidence, albeit suspicious. At least there's more evidence to TA than to eating 3 Mars bars, with far fewer calories and grams of saturated fat.ย https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3669033/ "...Significant improvements were found in the TA group for Tension (โ11%), Anger (โ12%), and Confusion (โ15%). Stress hormone profile (salivary cortisol and testosterone) was significantly improved by TA supplementation, with reduced cortisol exposure (โ16%) and increased testosterone status (+37%)....". "...one [author](AG) is an employee of a company that manufactures tongkat ali extract, and another (MP) is an employee of a nutrition company that uses tongkat ali as one ingredient in an anti-stress dietary supplement. The other authors (ST and JT) conducted this study as employees of SupplementWatch, which received funding for this trial from Biotropics Malaysia. This study was funded by Biotropics Malaysia and conducted by SupplementWatch...". I would be a little cautious in taking TA if you're taking other medications, because, as far as I can tell, it hasn't been researched in terms of drug interactions. Some plant extracts (such as St. John's Wort) have been found to interact with some medications.ย Olddaddy 1 Quote
Members unicorn Posted September 7 Members Posted September 7 A later review study, which incorporated this positive study and the one other randomized clinical trial which evaluated TA, felt the evidence is insufficient at this time to state that TA improves libido or erectile dysfunction: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0965229915001223?via%3Dihub "...This study summarizes evidence from randomized, placebo-controlled trials evaluating the efficacy of Tongkat Ali herbal for improvement of ED among men participants. In this meta-analysis, we did not find a significant effect of Tongkat Ali extract on ED. The results suggest that the subgroup of subjects with more severe ED may benefit from Tongkat Ali extract, but this would need to be confirmed in further well-designed studies in human...".ย In reviewing the OP's first post, he probably doesn't need to increase testosterone levels, since he described himself as "horny as hell." Increasing testosterone would only help if the ED were due to testosterone deficiency (which can be documented by lab studies, but is probably not a factor in someone who's horny). In most cases, ED is due to vascular reasons, which TA wouldn't be expected to address. I suspect TA would just make the OP hornier than hell, but all the more frustrated due to persistent ED. That being said, there are certainly plenty of well-documented, effective treatments for ED (vitamins, minerals, and herbs not being among them).ย Olddaddy 1 Quote
