TotallyOz Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I traveled from Bangkok to LA on Thai air a few days ago. There was extra security in place and the check was the longest that I have had in Bangkok. I assume that this was due to the issue on the same flight the week before. They were letting nothing through on the plane and every single person had a nice full pat down. The security through the Fast Track line was also a bit enhanced. They were also taking more precautions there. I have no problem with the extra security and always welcome more and know that safety is always better with a bit more security checks. Quote
Guest beachlover Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I've always noticed in Bangkok on flights going direct to Australia, they have an extra bag check/search at the gate. Everyone has to open their carry on bag. Sometimes it only takes 10 seconds, sometimes they spend a minute or two. Quote

But, this time there was a full pat down for everyone with double extra screening of bags. Quote
