TotallyOz Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I was sitting in a gogo bar last night in Sunee Plaza and saw a guy with a few guys sitting with him. He was jacking them off and playing with them and kissing on them. While this is not the kind of scene I like to see, I just observed when I would look around the room. He sat there for at least 20 min with these guys. When he was ready to go, he did not tip the boys, the waiter or anyone. The boys were visible upset but said nothing to him. Their eyes said volumes. As he was leaving, he went to each boy on stage and had a tug at their dick. Again, no tip of any kind. It was all I could do to control myself as the waiter bowed to him and thanked him for coming. If we ever wonder why boys get so jaded, all I need to do is to find a guy like this and I know my answer. I called the boy over that the man was sitting with and I asked him directly if the man gave him a tip. He said no. I asked if that was common and he said no but this was his 2nd customer tonight that wanted him to sit with them and neither of them left him any money. I did give him a tip. I told the BF if this was NYC what would happen. He said, this is Thailand and even if nothing is given, the boy cannot say anything. Quote
Guest joseph44 Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 And why should this 'customer' be a cheap charly? Maybe he is new in the scene and not aware on how to treat or tip the boys. Anyway, this will sort itself out; this customer won't get any attention in this bar in the future. The boys, on the other hand, expect a tip even if you do not touch/sit with them. Both sides need some adjustments. Quote
kokopelli Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I have seen the same type of behavior and it is disgusting to me. Obviously some of these cheap charlies are mentally ill while others seem to think the price of a drink covers whatever they can get away with. Quote
Guest joseph44 Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 To be honest, I just hate the people that are having some kind of interaction with the bar-staff. Things like feeling around, JO, playing with dicks.....it really pisses me off, whether it's paid for or not. Quote

I've been to gogo bars before (but only ever offed one boy) and I would have had no idea how things work if I hadn't happened to have done a bit of reading online beforehand. Not being familiar with the concept of tipping may have been another problem. He may have come from a country where tipping isn't the norm, like Australia for example. When you grow up in a country like that, you get used to everything involving payment for services being clear and upfront. It might not even strike you to think that a tip is appropriate in certain situations let alone wondering how much is appropriate. I'm not saying ignorance is the most probably explanation. He could well have just been a douche. Or maybe just too stupid to watch and learn or ask questions. As he was leaving, he went to each boy on stage and had a tug at their dick. Again, no tip of any kind. This bit suggests he was more likely a douche or just very stupid. Having said that, couldn't the boys or the mamasan just have suggested, "tip?" or "you give tip?". Surely they get customers who are oblivious and need guidance. Quote
Guest Astrrro Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I am not a big spender but a quick tug gets a boy 20 baht. Any kind of serious fondling would be at least 100 baht. A boy who is called down gets a drink and will most probably get 100 unless he shows no interest whatsoever. The way I economize is rarely a second drink for me or the boys unless I am having a superb time and no drinks for mamasans although waitstaff and mamasans will get personal tips if I like them. Of course every situation is different and also depends on my mood. We\all have different spending habits. i think the key is to be fair given the constraints of one's budget. Quote

Seems the boys always said tip. This might not be fair to the bar, but it really helps the boys. Quote
Guest beachlover Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Don't think I've ever seen a farang jerking off a boy in a gogo bar or being too intimate really... but I guess you are in what is basically a strip club so that might be expected. Quote
Gaybutton Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I remember an incident several years ago when Villa Rouge was still Kaos. I was in there and saw a farang who used to come to Pattaya regularly, about three times per year. He was sitting in a corner with a boy, fondling him all over the place, publicly, and you could see by the boy's face he was mortified. This farang also took out his wallet several times and was showing off the wad of cash he had inside, as if to assure the boy he was going to get a substantial tip. Then he called for his bill, paid it, and took 20 baht out of his wallet and handed it to the boy. When I could see that was all the boy was going to get and the look on the boy's face, I was so angry I went over there myself, before the farang had a chance to stand up, and gave the boy 100 baht. The farang was startled, started to say something, but then changed his mind and simply left. I was going to say something myself, but then thought better of it when it was obvious this guy knew exactly what I would have said. Quote
Guest Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 What did the boy say? He said: "Falang. I love you. Mama just called and the water buffalo died. 100 baht good start. Can you help just a few thousand baht more. But, up to you. 2k OK too. I love you Falang" said as he was watching straight porn on his cell phone. Quote
Gaybutton Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 What did the boy say? He was very grateful. He said if that farang comes back he will refuse to sit with him and refuse to go off with him if asked. He also told the mama-san. I couldn't understand everything that was said, but I was able to understand enough to know the mama-san would support whatever the boy wanted to do. Quote
Guest aot87 Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 If u go to certain bars in sunnie plaza the boys are all over u , trying to get their hands in your pants, so its not only the farang doing it , no bars mentioned but i think we all know which ones Quote
Guest beachlover Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 He said: "Falang. I love you. LOL He said if that farang comes back he will refuse to sit with him and refuse to go off with him if asked. Fair enough... I guess the farang reaps what he sows then. If u go to certain bars in sunnie plaza the boys are all over u , trying to get their hands in your pants, so its not only the farang doing it , no bars mentioned but i think we all know which ones I visited Sunee once. I remember the same thing happening. I think the onus is on you to turn down their advances. Quote

So, it must have been a good decision to stay away from them. I visited the last one about 4 months ago and I don't miss them a bit. HATE is a strong word, but I only use it for people who can't behave in public. It's the same HATE as I use for people who can't bring up the decency to find a dark-room box and rather do their thing in the steam room among other guests. Quote

It is nice to see we still have some prim and proper folks coming to Pattaya. I may be wrong, but I bet many patrons in a go-go bar are not offended by these shows on the sidelines. I remember last year, a patron would walk into a bar and put a 500 baht note in a cup. He would call over one of the guys and have him masturbate while he gives the boy a massage. The guy was very popular with both the go-go dancers and the bar patrons. After about six or eight guys, the extra show was over. I dare say some people may use the LOVE word to describe this action.
