Do you sleep with guys your own age?

How many of you sleep with guys your own age and how many of you sleep with guys half your age and have NO desire at all to sleep with guys your own age?

 

For those of you who use gogobars and moneyboys etc. do you think this is the reason you go for paid sex rather than hooking up with or developing relationships with others just like yourself?

 

When I was 18, I was only attracted to guys my own age or younger. It was the same when I was 19. And same when I was 20. But as I've approached my mid-twenties, I've found myself attracted to both guys the same age (and this age has obviously increased since I was 18) and even older guys (only Asian) up to maybe the early 30s, if they're good looking.

 

I think when I'm 30, I'll be just as attracted to other 30 year olds as I am to 24 year olds today. When I'm 40 I'll be attracted to other 40 year olds. And so on.

 

This doesn't mean I won't be attracted to a cute 21 year old. Sometimes I look at a 19 year old now and think, "shite... he's so cute". But I think I'll still be quite happy with guys my own age when I get there.

 

What are your thoughts and experiences? Did your age of attraction change as you got older? Or did it stay the same? Are you attracted to guys your own age now?

When I was 18, I was only attracted to guys my own age or younger. It was the same when I was 19. And same when I was 20.

When you are 18, you are only attracted to 18 or younger? Not 19? Not 20? So you look at their ID cards before you decide to become attracted to them?

Unfortunately most of the guys my age are either in old age homes or on respirators.

 

The old age homes won't let you in after 8pm and the respirators have too many hoses to disconnect.

Actually, that's the first question from BL that actually makes me think he might be in his twenties. He, of course, won't ask that question (or have that perspective) when he's 40 or 50 or 60.....but he just doesn't know that yet.

 

The answer - or least "my" answer - BL is that old people aren't all that attractive (which, I presume, you've already noticed?). But, in my particular case, I would note that I am attracted to older and older guys given I'm getting older myself (as in close to be fossilized). When I was 40, I thought a 20-25 year old was just about right (good looking and old enough to converse like an adult) but, now that I'm slightly over 60, I

sorta have the same attitude about some guys 30-40.

I don't find the question to be a joke. Sure, there's a socially reinforced image of what is physically sexually attractive and I'm no more immune to that as anyone else. But, I have to confess I find many who are in this age group to ba vapid once out of bed. I suppose, if I had my druthers, I'd seek someone with the body and looks of a 25 year old, but the mind of a much older adult. So, the answer to your question comes down to which of the extremes I'm willing to compromise on.

I started my gay experiences later in life, mid to late twenties. At that time I liked guys about the same age or younger. I am stuck in that mode. I have always liked older friends but not attacked to them sexually.

I am in my 40s, but like Asians in their early 20s.

 

Worse still, I find many young European lads 20 years younger than me are overweight and unattractive, never mind those of my own age.

I see lots of gay relationships where BOTH partners are the same age in their 30s, 40s or even 50s.

 

But on these boards, most relationships seem to be with the 'farang' in their 40s+ and a Thai boy in their 20s or 30s.

 

Not that there is anything wrong with any of this by the way. I'm just curious. It's comforting to know that when you hit 40, if you're only attracted to guys in their 20s, then there's a place where you're sure to be able to get it!

Nope. At those ages, I was distinctly only attracted to guys my age or younger. I noticed this changed in recent years as I described above. I'm wondering if anyone or everyone experiences this.

That's one question I tend to ask a bit later on in the chatting up process out of curiosity. Imagine my surprise when one Thai boy said he was 32... a really hunky 32 year old too.

 

He, of course, won't ask that question (or have that perspective) when he's 40 or 50 or 60.....but he just doesn't know that yet.

One thing that bugs me is when I get into a committed long-term relationship with someone my age in the next few years, will I still be attracted to him when we're both in our 40s... or 50s?

 

I think I should be safe since my age-range of attraction now ranges to ages above me (e.g. 18 - 30) and not strictly the same or younger as it was before.

That's cool... so your age of attraction moved with your age, even if it lags behind your own age a bit.

Fair enough... that seems to be a major challenge in relationships between older and younger guys. Straights probably have the same issue.

Actually, the "Caucasian only attracted to Asians" thing is something I never got. I'm Asian. I'm primarily attracted to Asians (and Latin/smooth black guys), but not much attracted to Caucasians at all, unless they're super-hot and young.

 

For me, it would be strange to be attracted to another race but not my own...

I like smooth slim guys. Caucasians on a western diet tend to be overweight by the time they are 20, so I only find a very comparatively small proportion of them to be sexually attractive.

You're right... I just hope it doesn't get as bad as it has in the West. I don't think "most" Caucasians look obese by the time they hit 20, but looking around at my mates now, a good lot of them certainly are certainly approaching obesity by age 25!... and may well be in pretty bad shape by 28 or 29.

And yes, I've slept with much older men (my record is 78 - I was 21...I spent a good part of the evening hoping he wouldn't have a heart attack)- even when I was in my teens and twenties, I'd do an oldie if he had a good body...but then I was born slutty. Even my mother said so!
