Kiwi306 Posted August 14 Posted August 14 I want to go for a ride on the wild side and try sidegra or tadalafil. I don't know why, but I feel embarrassed about approaching a female pharmacist. Anyway, I went to Siam pharmacy, but the lady didn't understand when I said tadalafil, as I wanted the generic version. So I mentioned Cialis and she told me that it would be over 1000 baht, so I left empty-handed. So, my request is could someone please recommend a good pharmacy and how much I should expect to pay for a pack of 4. Maybe I could use a Thai translator app. I was thinking of the cluster of pharmacies along Rama 4 road, up the top of Soi Surawong, in particular Chuya MD, where you have to get a number before you can get served. There's also a very busy pharmacy near On Nut Big C, which is meant to be quite cheap. vinapu 1 Quote
macaroni21 Posted August 14 Posted August 14 The local brand for Sildenafil is Sidegra. By law, it can only be purchased with a prescription. Taking advantage of the fact that selling over the counter is therefore contrary to law, many pharmacies overcharge. However, there are a number on the Sukhumvit stretch that have reasonable pricing, and there is one on Rama IV road that has reasonable pricing too. I wrote about it here: https://shamelessmacktwo.travel.blog/2024/07/10/money-changers-and-the-gold-line/ (you need to scroll down to the section about Sildenafil). There is no local brand for Tadalafil. The nearest alternative is the Indian-made brand Apcalis. I see it being sold by roadside vendors along Sukhumvit Road, but since I do not trust the storage conditions or even if it's real, I don't know what the pricing is because I have not asked (not recently at least). Maybe some pharmacies sell Apcalis too, and if they do, you will probably get it cheaper than Cialis, but I could be wrong; fact is, I don't know about the pricing. The Indian-made brand for Sildenafil is Kamagra. It too can be found on roadside stalls, but I don't see why anyone would buy Kamagra when Sidegra is available. I think the majority of phamarcies have female staff, so it's something you may have to get used to. Rest assured, they're used to male customers asking for ED drugs. I think they get very few female customers asking for ED drugs 🤪 vinapu and Daddy415 1 1 Quote
kokopelli3 Posted August 14 Posted August 14 You could try Pulse Clinic in Bangkok for any ED meds. https://www.pulse-clinic.com/buy-generic-cialis In Pattaya easy to buy anything on the streets or at a pharmacy. You can split the 20 mg pills in half which should also work at 10 mg. Quote

I think they get very few female customers asking for ED drugs @Kiwi306 I had the same fear talking to the female clerks in these shops and as @macaroni21 has stated, they know all about us males and our little brother challenges down between our 2 primary legs. Here in Jomtien, I have befriended the primary lady in the local non-official-pharmacy shop that sells all of these ED phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors, such as sidegra, kamagra, sildenafil, cialis, etcetra and I can speak freely with her without any shame. She even gives me free samples and is super kind - we laugh and have fun. The irony is that her shop is made to look like a pharmacy shop - but instead, it is a non-pharmacy shop that specializes in ED related products - which is a BIG industry in the Land of Smiles (LoS), as they need to make sure that all of the tourists who need assistance can perform for the ultimate "happy ending" to maintain the LoS image..... The price paid here in this Jomtien shop is 400 baht for a box of 4 tablets. Quote
Kiwi306 Posted August 14 Author Posted August 14 Wow, thank you all so much not only for the speedy replies, but for the very helpful information. Well, I am a changed man now and I will go out in confidence to do an order, starting off with the "Ennuv" pharmacy mentioned in Macaroni21's link. I'll check out Pulse Clinic too. Quote
Patanawet Posted August 14 Posted August 14 There is always a risk of shop assistants not understanding your pronunciation. Find an image of a pack on google and show that on your phone. This applies to much shopping, not only pharmacies . Quote

"Sidegra" is pronounced as see-day-grah. Not pronounced as side-grer (rhymes with "cider" or "tiger") as I once heard a farang refer to it as. Patanawet 1 Quote

And did the farang speak ever more loudly, poking the assistant with his silver topped cane to encourage the staff to pronounce it correctly(🤣😜)? Londoner 1 Quote
