PattayaMale Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 The first Krispy Kreme Dounut shop in Thailand is to open Sept. 28 at Paragon Shopping Mall in Bangkok. I hope they will soon open in Pattaya. If you have never had one, well you may have a chance. They are sugary sweet. Best warm as they roll off the in store conveyor belt! Quote
Guest TOQ Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Thank goodness. I was afraid you were going to say Pattaya and if so, I was in deep trouble. I'm rather fond of them myself. Quote

I'm not a donut fan, but I remember the excitement in Long Beach (my home town) when Kispy Kreme opened their first local outlet there. No kidding, there was a line around the block and the crowds didn't let up for weeks. I guess they must be fantastic tasting for donut lovers. Looking forward to them opening a store in Pattaya - I want to try one. Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 The first Krispy Kreme Dounut shop in Thailand is to open Sept. 28 at Paragon Shopping Mall in Bangkok. I think this is the sort of news that should be banned My attempts at dieting will clearly now fail completely. I only hope the Thais do not make Krispy Kremes into a fad like they did in Japan. As in Long Beach, after they opened in Tokyo a few years ago, they had to post security guards outside to control the long queues that formed every day for months. And it seemed everyone who managed to get into the store bought at least a dozen or more so they could 'gain face' by giving one to favoured friends! And those Japanese are so THIN!!! I hate them Quote
Guest Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Growing up in the deep South, Krispy Kreme was my favorite. We use to sell them for raising money for school trips. On one trip to Washington D.C. I paid for 3 people and got over 300 spending money. I ended up selling the most donuts EVER in the history of my school. The secret. I would wait outside of a shopping center and it had a fitness center inside. It was amazing how many of those people were hungry. Quote

Guest fountainhall Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 If Ya could just get a supply from Bangkok every day or two, the bar would be humming every night Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 I was in Hong Kong when they opened the first store there. They were giving free donuts and people (me included) stood in line for 1/2 hour + for a doughnut. I venture to say it won't be long before one opens in Central Festival in Pattaya. Quote
