I recently stayed eleven nights at the Zing hotel and finished every night with a visit to M Bar. Named after Mama M, who previously was the mamasan at Cupidol in BOyzTown, she is great fun, if a little overbearing at times, and skilled at extracting every last baht from your pocket before you tip out of the bar at say 1am or 2am in the morning.

The shows here are at 10pm and midnight, the latter being a little more raunchy, largely, I suspect, because the boys (of which there are a great many) have soaked up enough boy-drinks to feel less inhibited. You are going to get more flashes of bums and cocks with the midnight towel dance, and the boys also know that their 'accidental' flashes get bigger tips haha.

Most of the boys are gay, some prefer to be tops others, bottoms, but the ones I had back up to my room were pretty versatile.

To my mind, at the moment, it is the most fun bar in the Complex,

Wow @Vessey, this is a great summary / history of the M Bar.  Thanks for sharing it with all of us.

I have been living here now for 2 years and I only discovered this M Bar 2 weeks prior.  On my first visit, my Thai friend who brought me here introduced me to Mama M and she gave me a long history lesson (which I truly enjoyed) about her works in Sunee Plaza, the demise of Sunee Plaza via the many Thai police raids for underage workers, then her time in BoyzTown, and then she shared with me the workings of the "authority" that is in charge of the Jomtien Complex - which if I remember correctly is the Royal Thai Army ?   So, what goes on and what is approved or not approved has to first past muster with the Thai Army.  She specifically stated that the Thai police that were harassing Sunee Plaza are not welcome in the Jomtien Complex as it is under the auspices of the Thai Army.

These factual discoveries about how Pattaya is carved up into many little fiefdoms always fascinates me.

Lastly, when @emiel1981 mentioned about the strong odor of mothballs - I told him that it reminded me of being at my grandmother's house and it actually did not bother me as it refilled me with those pleasant childhood memories.

Fascinating  to see that each area has it's own  brown envelope authority! I wonder who charges the most!

Your choice of words are so appropriate LOL. Fiefdoms is an apt choice of word, because SE Asia sometimes function like a feudalistic state. I find that a useful way to think about the militaries in SE Asia, are that they are functioning as states within a state. They are designed to ensure their own survival and to ensure that they can eat even if the people starve.

The Thai army is sophisticated and can steer politics in their wished direction without being too crude. The Myanmar military is at the commanding heights of the Myanmar economy but lacks the sophistication of their Thai counterpart.

You can hold a second forum council ... I would certainly apply to participate :)

I am aiming to be back 6th January  for 10 days. A friend of mine, whom I have known for 45 years, has an elephant party on the second Sunday of January.

Boy ordered , not that I remember much but it was some dish served inside of pineapple and some other goodies. Boy was from old Tawan and had quite an appetite

I was thinking the same. At Mango Tree you can for example also eat lobster. But off course that will be more expensive. I just had chicken cashew and the special rice with mango. And that was tasty and priced very reasonable.

then I need to go next time I'm in Thailand in Jan 2027 as chicken cashew in my favorite dish , consumed daily and I kind of collect sampling it from different places.

considering that , other than Vietnamese, those armies are  not tested in the real wars and their main military worthiness seem to be massacring civilians  it's may be better if they are busy making money than piles of dead bodies.

Your next trip is in 2027... 🤔 Can not be possible. You mean January 2025 I think? Thailand, the bars and the boys cannot survive that long without KFC guy!

What I meant is that no Thai trip is being cooked right now. I doubt I will be able to hold until 2027 but equally I'm not in rush to go back as early as in 3 months either. Somehow I'm not in the returning mood at this time so Thailand , bars and boys are left to their own devices for now, deprived KFC guy's helping hand.

Since 2012 I've been coming to South-East Asia almost every year. And when lucky, sometimes even twice a year. I always start and end my journey in Bangkok. But every time I try to explore a new area/country also. I usually stay around one month in Asia.
For this year, I have planned to first fly to Bangkok for some nights of barhopping and meeting boys. Then off to Pattaya for a week beach- and relax-time. After that I will go to China for the first time, visiting some highlights and sight-seeing. Just before returning to Europe I will conclude with some more nights in Bangkok...

Any other forum members around on these dates?

  • Bangkok: October 14 - October 18
  • Pattaya: October 18 - October 24
  • Bangkok: November 13 - November 17

Of course I will keep you posted via this topic/thread about my adventures when I arrive in the Land of Smiles... ;)

Catching up with this forum now, reading about what has changed and what's the current situation in the (gogo)bars, massage parlours, etc.

I'll be in Bangkok 14-18 Nov. Interested in sauna orgies, massages and bars. Looking for tips and ideas.

Previous years I always used Mike Taxi but as I read on this forum stories

I gave Mikes taxis away after using them for years

Last 3 times either did not turn up,or turned up late

Last Thursday the driver turns up at 1pm instead of 12pm which didn't concern me ,lucky I wasn't going to airport

I didn't expect a apology from him but he couldn't even say hello on arrival

Half way there he turns into a gas station.

Finally arrived Bangkok 4pm , 3 hours later and no I didn't give a tip

Now it's not Mike's taxis fault but better organisation is needed

So now I use Limo which I was told about on here by many members

Welcome home and thank you for great report.

Smart move on your part to secure boy as soon as you decided on one.

Assholes like me are known to come and motion boy they came to pick up right away leaving undecided in the dust. It was in Hot Male when I had boy sitting with me and two young girls were looking at my boy longingly to a  degree that I took pity and told my boy that if he wants to go with those girls he can and I will pick him up next day but he decided to soldier on with known quality i.e me

Female sex tourists who pay for sex ? That is quite rare not? Or is this also becoming more common?

not sure what they are paying for, sex or just drinking company in some club, perhpas both  but yes I saw girls taking off boys not only in BBB but also Toy Boys , Banana Club , Dreamboys Patpong , Hot Male and and Jupiter .

By the way , the same happens with guys. Not sure how often  but I heard it quite a few times from boys themselves that they have customers taking them only for drinks and talk of how bad their wife/ girlfriend is  or as escorts to a club or sauna.

One of our members who offs only short time had his boy asking if he can sleep  on the second bed (some rooms in Raya have 2 beds , king and twin size )  and he agreed with no action initiated by either. Boy could be trusted because was recommended by me .

Interesting what was said about the Thai army controlling the Jomtien complex. Does this mean the army owns the buildings and bars ? And receives part of the profit ?

It depends, sometimes they will own the land and the buildings. Other times they will own the land and lease the use of the land for a certain period (like 70 years), either way they can influence what goes on.

and you left empty handed ? After such an evening?

That's outright sin !!!

Hahahaha! Or should I write: 5555

That none of the willing boys from X-Boys found their way to my hotel room, doesn't mean I did not have some fun in the bedroom.

I had appointment with a MB from the USA... Quite a novelty. He was a very friendly "straight" boy, with who you can also have nice conversation. Heavy tattooed chest. Very good body. Nice cut dick. But... Available for Thai prices! 2000baht for massage, touching, mutual sucking. 3000baht if he needs to bottom. This straight boy told me he loves anal stimulation. Because he's straight he doesn't like kissing with a guy... But... There a price on everybody and everything. So when you pay 4000baht kissing is possible according to his "price list". Below is his Grindr profile. Massage was average. Not very special but sufficient. His sucking was nice and his dick also nice to suck. Somehow it was a big turn on to make a straight buy hard... Lol
