TMax Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Some places and things I like Grand Palace (dress codes and beware scammers trying to say its closed, ignore them and go to the entrance) Chao Phraya Princess River Cruise dinner, I enjoyed having this dinner cruise only goes for a couple of hours but is enjoyable Asiatique, a bit touristy but some nice restaurants and an easy free commute on the ferry Lumphini, I imagine the outdoors gym is still going I do like the National Museum. I thought I would just throw that one in even though he may not be interested but still worth a look Will second Chatuchak weekend market but my advice is to go early A restaurant I really like is The Mango Tree on Soi Tarntawan (just around the corner from Tarntawan Hotel) jamiebee, vinapu, Olddaddy and 1 other 1 3 Quote
spoon Posted August 7 Posted August 7 If he is interested in bars and would like to visit mahanakhon, bar crawl offered by standard hotel is worth a try. Olddaddy and jamiebee 1 1 Quote
Kiwi306 Posted August 8 Posted August 8 The gym in Lumphini Park is definitely still there. For a very small fee you can have a workout and also buy bottles of water. This gym has a bench press with tyres on each side of the bar, which is quite a novelty. There was another gym too, but not as good. I don't know if that one is still there. Many hotels, such as Quarter Silom and Quarter Saladaeng have adequate gyms. vinapu, Olddaddy, TMax and 1 other 4 Quote
