Tawan always used to be more expensive than non-muscle bars. And prices have been going up every year anyways.

I’m curious if prices for the One (guys) are still relatively much higher than other bars.

500 baht entrance, which gives you a free drink. Off fee is also 500 baht.

The first time I went to the show, I was approached by one of the guys and he asked if I wanted to off him. I immediately asked how much he wanted me to pay him and I was happy with his response. The very muscular, younger guys expect a higher price.

Just to add to my post, I offed the same guy a few times. Rather than having to pay an entrance fee every time, I would either ring him and arrange to meet him outside the bar or just go there and ask him to come out to see me

Choosing to go with T turned out to be a great decision. I'd heard some mixed reviews about him before, but I'm happy to report that my experience has been positive even from my previous trip.

After the deed, we caught up and chatted about all sorts of random things. T really enjoys talking about his family, which I was initially wary of, not wanting it to lead to any requests for financial support. But we've exchanged plenty of texts since my last trip, and not once has he asked for anything, so I felt pretty relaxed this time around. He's quite the talker, and he kept going until I eventually drifted off to sleep.

We woke up early, both starving, but it was too soon for the hotel breakfast. We decided to wait for the buffet to open while T went out for a smoke. To our surprise, when we went down, the buffet was already set up, and we were told that we could start early, though we'd have to wait if we wanted fresh omelettes.

As others have mentioned, the Quarter Saladaeng buffet breakfast was pretty good. T seemed to enjoy it too, and even asked me to take a photo of him with his buffet haul. It was a bit embarrassing, but I went along with it.

Back in the room, we rested for a bit before going for round two. When it was time to say goodbye, T reminded me he’d be off the next day for a "happy birthday party" (his phrasing was too cute). I made a mental note to head back to Good Boy the next day—perfect timing to check out numbers 7 or 42 without T giving me puppy eyes from afar.

After T left, I treated myself to a couple more hours of sleep before booking an afternoon massage at Ssense. My favorite masseur, Knott, was back on the lineup but wasn’t available, so I went with a guy named Boy. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel any attraction when I saw him. His massage skills were good, but when he asked if I wanted a B2B (body-to-body) massage, I declined. It was still a highly satisfying session massage-wise so I left a tip that matched the quoted amount for no extras.

By nightfall, I decided to try my luck at Moonlight. Unfortunately, nothing caught my eye, and I left feeling a bit bored and frustrated. There used to be plenty of African MBs advertising their services via Grindr. Now, not as much but still a good selection I think.

Price quoted ranges from 3000 to 8000+ (in my case, I opted for and politely haggled with those on the lower price range. lol).

After a leisurely breakfast, I found myself in the mood for some shopping. Two tempting options quickly came to mind:

 

1. Chatuchak Weekend Market with a side trip to a Saphan Kwai massage shop.

2. Platinum Mall with a pitstop at Arena Massage on the way back.

 

Just the memory of navigating Chatuchak's maze-like alleys in sweltering heat was enough to steer me towards the air-conditioned comfort of Platinum Mall. The massage guys at Saphan Kwai could wait.

 

As I stepped out of the hotel, the cute doorman greeted me with his big smile. I pointed to the shuttle and asked when it was leaving. "Now, I can take you," he replied. I giggled internally and reminded myself to behave—this hotel is quickly becoming a favorite, and I don’t want to risk getting banned!

 

I may have mentioned this before—while hardcore bargain hunters might argue that Pratunam Market across the road is the real deal, I prefer to pay a bit more for the convenience of air-conditioning and the peace of mind that I won’t be run over by vehicles, food carts, or the bustling crowds. One perk of Pratunam Market, though, is the people-watching—especially the shirtless local guys marching back and forth, carrying goods three times their size.

 

After a quick shopping spree, I took a taxi to Silom Plaza. The traffic was surprisingly cooperative, but that meant I arrived at Arena Massage way too early, with slim pickings in the masseur department. I asked the Papasan for advice, and he suggested coming back around 4 PM. So, I strolled around Maha Nakhon in search of a quick afternoon bite.

 

When I returned, the selection had dramatically improved, leaving me torn between three appealing options! The Papasan did his best to upsell me to a deluxe room, highlighting perks like free coffee and snacks for just 300 baht more. I declined, preferring to give that extra baht to the masseur as a reward for good service. Besides, the irony of a "deluxe" room in a building that wouldn't pass a building code inspection back home wasn’t lost on me. After making my choice, the masseur, Pon, graciously offered to carry my shopping bags and escorted me upstairs.

 

Pon introduced himself, directed me to the shower, and said he'd return in a few minutes. I hinted that I’d rather wait for him, and he got the message—we ended up showering together both before and after the massage.

 

I can't help but chuckle every time I see those ketchup bottle dispensers being used for body wash and shampoo. It's funny yet clever. Oh, and the room I was in had a Hello Kitty wall clock—not exactly what you want to be staring while getting serviced.

 

As for the massage itself, it wasn't anything to write home about, but the cheeky extras were quite remarkable.

 

Before leaving, I scanned the reception area one last time and confirmed—the roster had indeed improved significantly!

 

I stepped out of Arena quite satisfied, happily walking back to the hotel while planning my next visit to Good Boys tonight, with hopes of meeting #7 or #42.

Thank you for your sense of irony regarding anything "deluxe" in a building that is surely ready for demolition. But where would Arena go.....? So I don't wish for demolition of such an institution.

I had always assumed that you needed to book a "deluxe room" to get the in room shower. I am glad to know that all rooms have that.

However, when the temptation to get out and about became unbearable, I marched towards Surawong for a foot massage and to indulge in my favorite sport—people-watching.

Around half past nine, I made my way to Good Boy. Perfect timing, as a few customers were already inside, sparing me the awkwardness of having everyone on stage vying for my attention. Scanning the room, I noticed that both 7 and 42 were present tonight. Now, it was just a matter of making the right choice between the two.

As soon as the Papasan saw me, he promptly sat next to me, and we engaged in our usual chitchat. Interestingly, this is the only bar where I’ve ever been asked if I’ve had dinner! While still wavering between 7 and 42, 7 caught my eye and grinned mischievously, making my heart flutter just enough to summon him to sit beside me.

7 is from Laos, and his English isn’t the best, considering he only started working in bars this past April. But there's something so engaging about his persona that the language barrier hardly mattered. Either that, or he’s so good-looking that I was just giddy having him next to me.

As the show began, we continued our conversation using a translator app. Oddly, the app kept translating "Top" as "complainer," which we both found amusing. I shrugged it off, and we agreed to let him “complain” on me tonight—and maybe tomorrow morning too. After 7 went to get dressed, I watched the show, eagerly awaiting Mai's performance. He’s such a handsome lad, and I would’ve "offed" him if given the chance. Unfortunately, I was told he’s not offable, as his partner works at the bar manning the counter.

After Mai's performance, 7 and I headed out to the street. I asked where he wanted to eat, and he gave the standard "up to you." We took a taxi back to the hotel, and once in the room, I handed him my phone and asked him to order food for both of us. We showered together, and just as we finished, our food arrived—perfect timing.

After dinner, I handed him the TV remote, offering him the chance to watch something. We cuddled up for a good half-hour before he shyly suggested going to bed—a suggestion I didn’t resist.

In bed, he turned out to be a surprisingly passionate kisser. He took his time before "complaining" on me, which I thoroughly enjoyed. After we cleaned up, we stayed up chatting, watching silly videos on his phone, laughing together, and looking at photos of his family. We fell asleep cuddling, with me wearing a huge grin.

Sounds like a great evening! A quick question from a newb here, I guess you have sort of agreed on what his fees to ‘complain’ before you depart?  Also do you just wave at him and he will just get tht, or you need the mamasan help..

Don't worry about those things, they sort of come naturally. Yes, you may want to discuss with boy  what your requirements and his expectancies  will be  but leaving things to a chance also has advantages. I only discuss length of time and enlist mamasans help only if absolutrly necessary. After all you won't be taking mamasan with you to translate in the room
