TotallyOz Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 There is another thread that discusses Boyztown. When many foreigners talk of "going over to Boyztown" I ask them where they went and they will discuss the entire area. I guess I often lump all 3 Sois into the "Boyztown" term. I am sure there are some that get upset with this. But, I do wonder how others view this area. What do you think of when the word Boyztown comes to mind? Quote
Guest GaySacGuy Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 I first stayed in Cafe Royale when I came to Pattaya, and have always considered the entire area to be Boystown...never really thought of it any other way. Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Boyztown conjures up images of Cafe Royal, Anbiance, Panorama and BBB, but I would agree that the whole area could be called Boyztown. Quote

Guest joseph44 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 The closer you're living to a place, the more specific you will be. Quote
Bob Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 There's this huge sign (hey, it even lights up at night!) that says Boyztown and I guess I just presumed (not sure why I did that!) that the sign gave some mild clue as to where Boyztown might be. As to whether it's 100 meters wide or 300 meters wide, I'm not sure as I never measured. Quote

My first two nights in Pattaya was at The Ambiance Hotel... got my bearings and feet wet...then moved out and into the Flamingo Hotel(now closed) in Day Night Area. The Flamingo became my home away from home whenever I was in Pattaya. Sure enjoyed its good managers and staff. After Flamingo closed, Howards Hotel became my hotel of choice - with its location and elevator. Returned occasionally to Panorama Bar for the Happy Hours as it was a popular stop with expat friends, had dinner several times at Amor... really enjoyed the sexy dancers and show at Throb many times... and have closed the Cafe Royale Piano bar many a night. Not a regular now to the Boyztown area... prefer Sunee and Jomtien areas. Indeed, I wish them all more success and good luck in these trying economic times. tj Quote
