Nicole John fell out of a 25th story window of the Herald Square Towers on West 34th Street, landing on the building's third-floor overhang, according to police sources. ......About 10 people were inside when Nicole John took off her shoes, climbed out of the window onto a ledge and plunged to her death, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said. A witness from an adjacent building saw John fall and called police, Kelly said. By the time officers arrived, the apartment had been completely cleaned up, he added. Investigators found a small camera beside her body, leading them to believe that she climbed outside to take a picture. Nicole had a fake Brazilian ID, suggesting she was 23 or 24. --------------- So sad! US Ambassador John was a fine Ambassador to Thailand. Yes, sadly an accident...with alcohol as culprit! And why the clean apartment? Surely done so to hide any evidence of drug use and alcohol use by minors? I am sure the NYC Police will find answers...in the trash and from interrogating those who were at the after party in the upscale apartment. She was only 17...a minor...and in the company of many adults. There will be some serious charges coming..even possible involuntary manslaughter? or contributing to the deliquency of a minor and more. Will be interesting to follow this in the news. tj Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Very sad indeed. Yet also curious, perhaps because initial reports of such tragedies are often confusing. Taking her shoes off, possibly taking photos, leaning out of a window to get some air, fake Brazilian ID, apartment cleaned up, party host removed from the building in handcuffs - all suggest this may not be a simple case of a tragic suicide.
