FWIW. There will be plenty of horny paisas wiling and ready to hook up when you arrive in Medallo.

maump
Hmm in spring 2022 I stayed 10 days in Chapinero bogota. I stayed near BasÃlica Menor Nuestra Señora de Lourdes. OK area, but like anywhere keep your eyes open at night. Near all the clubs.  I spent much more time in Medellin (laureles is good) 2022 and 2024  Birmingham boy
maump
If you are a bottom, I recommend you buy a bidet hose for the toilet. easy to install and move around. stayed 90 days in medellin 4 different AIRBNBs , my colombian bottoms loved it too and I gave it to one of them.... Common in asia, middle east. You can buy one in colombia, but I remember the selection was poor. I like the smaller nozzle style, small enough to inject into your butt without issue. I have one. didn't think I would like it with ice cold water here, but it is still really good. floridarob and Birmingham boy
Members Latbear4blk
This device is standard in Rio's bathrooms. Besides, let me remind that there are probable no cleaner asses than Argentines'. There is a separate bidet in every single Argentine restroom.

Great gift for bottom, and yes highly recommended with a small nozzle, it cleans a lot better than bidet and the water shooting up into your gut with high force. With bidet, it takes a bit time to completely clean especially when hurry according to bottom’s friend.

Birmingham boy
Any thoughts on this guys? If anyone has been recently to Medellin - how the things have been recently? Looks like it's not specifically about gays but the news are really alarming to the point where I'm thinking I should swap Medellin for Bucaramanga or a smaller town? https://www.google.com/amp/s/english.elpais.com/international/2024-06-24/29-tourist-deaths-trigger-alarm-bells-in-medellin.html%3foutputType=amp

Popular Post midwestdad
I just got back from MedellÃn on Saturday from an eight-day trip.  It was my first time in Colombia.  I had an amazing trip and never felt unsafe.  I will admit that I planned a trip back in April, but then canceled because I read too many Facebook sorry stories about crime.  Obviously it's terrible whenever something bad happens to anyone.  Like others have noted, common sense and trusting your instincts will go a long way.  I don't drink, use other chemicals, and I don't party.  I wore an Apple Watch and used my phone occasionally on the street, but I wasn't obnoxious about it. I met up with many guys, mostly from Grindr and mileroticos.  They were all very attractive and I had a great time.  I did my best to vet them, and make sure they had social media, twitter, an onlyfans, etc.  My sense is that many were interested in ongoing financial support, either directly or through through their websites.  To be blunt, if they kill you they might get what's in your wallet that day, but nothing in the future. I think the best advice I can give you is to spend time with the local guys, and they will look out for you.  The local job market is really tough and there are many guys on Grindr who are unemployed and bored.  I was very interested in seeing the sites around town, like Comuna 13, museums, Pueblito Paisa, parks, and Guatepe.  I met up with two guys in particular and offered to buy them lunch and pay for travel expenses.  Both were happy to take me around town and were very proud of their city and its culture.  One even took me up to Mirador Picacho in the evening to see some breathtaking views of the city at night.  I was a bit apprehensive but it was worth it.  The trip to Guatepe was also worth the two hour Uber drive! I'm already planning my next trip back.  There are many more things I want to see and guys I just didn't have time to meet up with! vinapu, Birmingham boy, neyger and 4 others 6

Relax. There is always an emerging "new" panic around Colombia travel. You wouldn't believe the "expert" opinions shared with me when I first traveled to the country and fell in love with Medallo. Perhaps because Narcos on Netflix was popular at the time? MedellÃn as a whole is less dangerous that most similarly sized cities in North America. The barrios where there are higher rates of violent crimes are ones you are highly unlikely to visit during your first trip. Skipping this city will leave a big to-do on your travel list. Don't let a few negative stories detract you from visiting the city. There is much to see and do, and the paisas are certain to charm the pants off of you. Literally. Cheers. Edit - BTW, if you are still planning to be there in early January 2025, I am around. Happy to meet up and introduce you to some locals and the main spots. Birmingham boy, floridarob, midwestdad and 1 other 3

If I have not mentioned this before, I apologize. @midwestdad is absolutely correct and the dozens of miradores around Medallo are a great excursion with a new friend. Download the app Miradores Destination for the best selection with instructions how how to arrive (choose an Uber unless you really enjoy steep hiking trails) and to know what amenities are on site. Some have restaurants and entertainment, other have simple cantinas where you can buy a beer and take in the city lights. Great way to end a day in MedellÃn.
