Guest fountainhall Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I adore fish and chips! Either with lashings of vinegar and salt, or with a copious quantity of lemon juice. I have had some excellent fish and chip meals all over the UK, but the best by a mile is that served in the open air at Doyle's at Watson's Bay in Sydney. The place is so famous it's not unusual to see celebrities eating by the sea. Even better, it's very close to one of the gay beaches Quote

Had some great fish and chips in Las Vegas last month, but will have to try these next trip. Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 For me, the traditional malt vinegar and salt is the way to eat fish 'n chips. Quote
Guest Patexpat Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 agree ... and ideally with mushy peas with a dash of mint sauce! Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 I am not a fan of mushy peas myself. Fond memories of fish 'n chips wrapped in newspaper in UK from take away walking down the road eating them in the drizzly cold night air after a night in the pub. Quote
