TotallyOz Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Anyone heard of this company? They have a nice treadmill at Super Sports. It is a 4.0 horse power treadmill. It is made in China. I can't find any reviews for the treadmill. Anyone know of it? Or bought something similar at Super Sports. Quote
Guest GaySacGuy Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I purchased a nice treadmill in Ubon about 2 years ago....but for the past year or so, it has only served as a paperweight or a dust catcher...neither one of us had used it in some time!! Quote

What brand? How did it hold up? The Trends that I am looking at retails for 83,000 baht. I don't mind the price IF it will hold up and last. I have been unable to find a LifeFitness in Thailand for less than 110,000. Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I bought a Nordic track when I was in the US; the exercise I got from it was dusting it now and then. Quote
Guest Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Ask about treadmills on all the boards no doubt there will be someone willing to sell one they got tired of after 12 months (or less). That way, there's less money lost when you sell in on next year. Quote
PattayaMale Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 If you have seen a LifeFitness at a local gym, you might find out who owns the gym and contact them to see where sellers or re-sellers are. You probably looked across the street from Tony's gym on Third. I thought they told me the sold used equipment. Not sure Quote
Bob Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I bought a Nordic track when I was in the US; the exercise I got from it was dusting it now and then. Lol, sounds familiar. I have this really nice treadmill at home too and I do get a little bit of exercise from it when I have to move it to vacuum around it. The damn thing is heavy! If/when I get the urge to exercise, I sit down until the urge goes away..... Quote

Same-same for me when back in USA, before retirement... had a room full of exercise equip/weight machines... ended up donating to local charity thrift shop! tj Quote
Bob Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Same-same for me when back in USA, before retirement...had a room full of exercise equip/weight machines... ended up donating to local charity thrift shop! You know, I gave my weight bench and weights to somebody (I actually forget who) about 8-10 years ago and I do remember that hauling those damn things upstairs (from the basement) was the first time I picked those damn things up in at least another 10 or 15 years. I'm still recovering. What's worse - and I probably shouldn't admit this - the balcony of the condo I rented in Chiangmai this past season overlooked the new and fancy Powerhouse Gym exercise joint. And, yes, on a couple of occasions I recognized falang I knew going into the place to exercise - and every one of those wusses declined the cigarettes I offered them from the balcony! Quote

Guest beachlover Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Much better and more stimulating to exercise outdoors than inside on a boring treadmill, I think. If you're in Pattaya, nothing could be better than a long run along the beach! If you're going to exercise (aerobic) indoors on a machine get a cycling machine or cross trainer or something... or an erg (ergometer - rowing machine) if you are game. But don't run indoors! Quote
