Guest travelerjim Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 And he can't take a penny of that 1.6 billion with him. True, but I bet George is laughing... all the way to those Pearly Gates... Sine he died in 2010...there is ZERO ....US Federal Estate Tax. His family gets ALL of it! ..an estimated 1.6 Billion Dollars! and saves nearly 700 Million Dollars which would have been the estimated Estate Tax if he had died in 2011. Such timing! RIP George...he was a very special fella... Most know of his activity with baseball and the Yankees... but he also was a dynamic leader in the US Olympic Committee. I had the served with him years ago ... on the US Olympic Committee Executive Board... a genuine nice guy...and his participation and leadership was meaningful and appreciated by all those in the US Olympic Family. He will be missed by many... tj Quote
