Guest beachlover Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 You might find that outside of Pattaya there may be more of an anything goes...maybe not as to gay bars, but as to life in general. The anything goes wild west atmosphere applies to Pattaya more than other parts of Thailand, in my mind. I remember talking to gay guys who said they were f*cking an average of five boys a day... and other bizarre things. Some parts of Walking Street looked like a circus sometimes... It's a party town I suppose. Quote
Guest beachlover Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Those are your words, not mine...so I will agree with you! You sure you don't see any beauty in Bangkok?... The endless huge skyscrapers?... Orange sunset over a thriving city?... The Skyline overlooking Lumpini Park?... The incredible diversity you can find in this one place?... Funny foreigners?... Variety of entertainment, services and amenities on offer? I find it hard to imagine being bored living there. I love bursting out of the calm, quiet, air conditioned cacoon of my high-rise hotel onto the street... with the bustling traffic, street food vendors and people. Quote
Guest YardenUK Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 I agree with beachlover - I find Bangkok a beautiful city in all the ways he described. Frantic frenetic and a skyline I too find iconic - and to top it all, oh so very Thai - bliss! Quote
