Speak for yourself. As far as I'm concerned, there aren't enough fem boys. If you're looking for the more macho, muscle types, Sunee Plaza is the wrong place to look. You're much better off trying the Pattayaland bars. Quote

Along with many others, I quite like fem boys. So don't assume you reflect a majority opinion on this matter. Also, if you did want to run a bar that caters to the majority, surely it would be a STRAIGHT bar? There's always money to be made from sizeable niches. Also, I don't equate fem boys with fem voices. If a 100% male guy keeps his hair a bit long & maybe dresses in a slightly androgynous style, it has no effect on his voice. I also dislike high pitched effeminate voices. Generally I only hear these with females & some ladyboys, not fem boys. The worst source of high pitched voices in gay bars is the female customers that sometimes plague such establishments. Quote

In Tokyo, there are quite a few escort bars both for younger office ladies and older married ones looking to meet handsome, usually muscled hosts. In the bars in Bangkok I have occasionally seen small groups of Japanese ladies and I know from chatting to some boys over the years that many do take the more macho boys out. Are ladies to be found in the audience in places like BBB n Pattaya? Quote

I've seen posts on the various boards complaining of some of the bars filled with ladies in the audience, but I've never encountered that. I see groups of two or three every so often, but that's all I've ever seen. Of course, I don't go to the bars very often, so I don't doubt what others have said. I'm only saying I've never encountered more than that and it's rare enough that I'm usually surprised when I do see ladies in the audience. Again - that's just my own experience. Quote

Today's Bangkok Post Spectrum section reveals the capital's toy-boy bar scene. The sex-for-sale industry has been largely tolerated as part of the nightlife scene in Thailand since the 1960s when American servicemen made a beeline to Bangkok for "rest and recuperation". However, many are not aware that similar sex services are available for women - both local and foreign - in a handful of discreet clubs around the city. They range from hi-so clubs employing handsome, well-educated, well-dressed male escorts, to low-rent establishments where strappingyoung go-go boys dance in bikini bottoms and sometimes expose themselves in an explicit manner which leaves little to the imagination. Using four undercover researchers posing as customers, Spectrum recently visited four clubs to gain an insight into the world of male prostitutes and the female customers who appeared more than happy to pay for their company . . . many of the women Spectrum spoke to said they enjoyed the experience and were happy to pay for the attention lavished on them by the young men, adding that if it was alright for their husbands to have minor wives, they should feel no guilt or shame.
