TotallyOz Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 We are going to be upgrading our forum to newest version. This entails us making a back up, adding new and then bringing back all topics. You may see some features not working properly. We hope to have this done by week's end. My apologies for any inconvenience. Quote
Guest TOQ Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Is it just the old software you are getting rid of Quote
Guest Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Same software, different version. It is never an issue to upgrade only. But, we have modified modules and added things to the forum that my programmers made and not from the company itself. Thus, we never know what will happen to all the things when we upgrade. Quote
PattayaMale Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I hope that part of the update includes an automatic login. When I get a message in my inbox that someone has replied to a post, I click the link and am taken to the topic BUT if I don't remember to go back to the top page and "logon" I am stopped from posting until I do. Frustrating me. When I go to Ting Tong or Swatedee I have aske that my login is remembered and becomes automatic. The other thing I hope will change is the delay between the top part of the screen (Flirt for free) taking so long to load (even giving you a message that if you don't want to wait,...click here. maybe I am doing something wrong on the options or something, but when I read a topic then want to "jump to GayThailand Forum to read the next thread, again I have to wait for the top page to load. It is a bit of a time waster I feel. Just wanting to give my thoughts Quote
Guest RichLB Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 If the upgrade will allow some changes, I have two suggestions. For some reason this software will not allow the attaching a pdf file. I've no clue why and it's rare anyone would want to do that, but if it can be changed with the upgrade, that would be good. My other suggestion is a change in the text color when reading threads. It may be a setting on my computer (although GB came over and was unable to change it), my eyes going blooey, or too much glare on my screen; but the light pink color is hard for me to read without eye strain. Guest fountainhall Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 the light pink color is hard for me to read without eye strain. I'd like to second that. Quote
Gaybutton Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 I'd like to second that. I'll third that. To me, contemporary board software has too many bells and whistles, kind of like my TV and DVD remote controls - all kinds of buttons and I still have no idea what half of them do. I think the most easy-on-the-eyes colors to read on message boards are black or a very dark blue on a gray background. However, if it is possible to do, there is one bell and whistle I would like to see on this board - a spell checker. Quote

Firefox has a built-in spell checker; it will check all your typing automatically on all web page entries. Quote
Gaybutton Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I just thought of something else. I don't know why, but you cannot upload PDF files to this board. Unless there is a reason for that, maybe the programmers can fix that. Quote
