Patrice of PAT Properties rents units for 400 a night though there are some extra charges such as a 400 baht final cleaning charge. With this plan u are starting your trip in a greatand are making no longterm commitments sight unseen. Quote

I have a friend who wishes to rent his condo long term (or maybe even sell it) in Jomtien Plaza. It is a 3 bedroom (actually 2, but one of the balconies has been converted to a small bedroom), nicely furnished, and with views of both the city and the ocean. He is willing to rent it for 30,000 baht/month and, while pricey, I think it's a price far lower than other units in this building. I may have the name of the building wrong, but it's the high rise right on the corner of Thappyra and Jomtien Beach Road.
