I was also interested in the cruising culture in Manila and research a lot of cruising areas, but the ones I have found so far have too many people around, there are cleaners practically living in all of the toilets around Makati which makes hooking up impossible and I've been too busy to look further afield at the cruisy parks and cinemas that are supposedly here. I have been told the Isetan Cinema at Recto is very cruisy, practically a sex on premises place, and I am hoping to check it out before I leave. I am super impressed with Manila so far and though I had planned to return to Bangkok for my next escape in December, I am thinking of coming back here again. I connected with Redappleboys and booked the two guys I met through Telegram, and paid a deposit of 500 pesos using an app called REMITLY for AUD to PHP - all you need is the recipient's name and number to send from REMITLY via GCASH. I had a bit of an argument with the security in which they said something about daytime OK, night not OK. hojacat Posted June 6 Posted June 6 When in Manila two years ago I stayed at this boutique hotel right across Glorietta mall. Their guest check-in policy was a bit inconsistent. Some of the guys didn't have to check at the front desk at all, some had to leave their ID and a few times I even got a call from the reception to ask if everything was fine once the guy left. I guess it depended on the time of the day and how busy front desk was. Didn't have to check-in any of the guys I had at this big hotel in Puerto Princessa, though the the place I stayed in El Nido had a no-guests policy. Luckily I was there only two days and kinda needed a pause after all that high-intensity activity in Manila. Overall, I would say an Airbnb is the best option in Manila, but even in those some receptions might be stricter than others. With the last update my private albums disappeared and some profiles take a long time to load. Haven't had any issues with alerts or notifications though. Quote

The rules have been rather inconsistent as I have at time seen people open their bags for security to search and then go straight through but then others are questioned. I'm not sure what there policy is and where they target particular appearances or ages of what... from what I have seen of the major hotels in Makati and Pasay that I have driven or walked by, its the same. Bali is the common place for people to visit, but I've had as many if not more luck in Jakarta and Surabaya, going to add Bandung in my next trip. Less expensive in everything as a country except maybe alcohol. I like to have drinks with the guys and finding a drinker in Indonesia can be a challenge, but not impossible.
