Road deaths are an inconvenient fact of life. The same is true of violence on television and in the cinema, when anything more than a chaste kiss is censored out of all recognition. Such facts are generally unknown outside Thailand. Mob violence and killings are seen by zillions around the world and affect their view of the 'Land of Smiles'.
