Gaybutton Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Six places you never thought you could afford - USATODAY.com Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Unfortunately they are not of much use to travellers based in Asia since all are based on return flights ex-the USA. I must say this idea of not copying the articles directly into the website is ridiculous - whatever the law MAY say! Quote
Gaybutton Posted April 3, 2010 Author Posted April 3, 2010 I must say this idea of not copying the articles directly into the website is ridiculous - whatever the law MAY say! To tell the truth, for me it's much easier to simply copy and paste a link than to do the whole article, which sometimes is a pain to do when you have to go around photos, ads, etc. We'll see how it goes for a while. Bkkguy has made his point, but he doesn't run this web site, as much as I believe he'd like to. The final decision as to how we'll handle posting articles is up to GT. Quote
Guest Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 My suggestion was this: Dreaming of a far-flung vacation? This year, those out-of-reach destinations may be surprisingly affordable. Last year, we covered six places you never thought you could afford. This year, we've compiled another six hot spots, with a twist Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Having been to both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi twice, I would say that Hanoi is a better destination for cost and uniqueness. Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Consider, too, that Ho Chi Minh City provides the chance to travel halfway across the world for not much more money, as well as the opportunity to experience a different culture up close And remember you can fly there on Air Asia at an even greater waste of time and energy! I think only posting a link without any content is a waste of time. IMHO My thoughts exactly - IMHO Quote
Guest MonkeySee Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Having been to both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi twice, I would say that Hanoi is a better destination for cost and uniqueness. I would have to agree. I enjoyed Hanoi much more than HCM city, although both are worth a visit. Quote
