Guest aot87 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Can any one tell me the approx cost of a cheap computer or laptop, and where should i buy , tuk com or big c /tesco. I only need it for e-mail and internet, so nothing fancy. Quote
Gaybutton Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I've seen a few at prices between 12,000 to 15,000 baht at Tuk Com. If you shop around at Tuk Com, you'll find prices much less expensive than retail stores such as Lotus and Big-C. You might want to consider checking some of the local pawn shops too. Of course, if keeping it as inexpensive as possible is the goal, you can always stick to the Internet cafes instead of buying a computer. Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Two computer matters. 1. I have just invested in a new Apple desktop to replace my ageing one (only 5 years old but packed with pirate software and none has been updated, so it is now requiring both an overhaul and some up to date software). If I get Apple to update it and put in some basic software, does anyone know a charity to which I could donate it? It will take some weeks to get all my files transferred and the computer put in proper working order. 2. And does anyone know someone in Bangkok who knows their way around Apple computers? I have been using Apple for ages, but I often struggle to learn some of the detail of what it can do and have little clue about new programmes I should be installing. I am happy to pay for someone's time. Quote
